Steilberg Painting recently finished a large project at my homepainting the interior of the 1st & 2nd floors which included a lot of detailed areas such as: built-in book cases, fireplace surround, built-in china hutches, and stairwell/spindles/risers/steps. I HIGHLY recommend them. Their workers are EXTREMELY personable, excellent communication, and really want to make the customer happy. Respectful in the homeno loud music or shouting or anything disruptive. Are they pricier than other painters? Yes.

But you get what you pay for. Steilberg is a 90 year old family business with only full time employees. They are known for high end painting, and for good reason. I recommend them without hesitation.

Meticulous professional painters who did an exception job repairing water damage, building/using scaffolding and applying 3 different types of paint finishes. They took on a huge project and we were completely satisfied with the results in every single project (family room, kitchen, entrance foyer, paint cabinets in bar area). Truly a professional group that I would highly recommend.

The crew is responsive and friendly. They made sure the job was done right. They did extensive scraping, repaired trim and gave a great facelift to a Highlands home built in 1915. Services: Exterior decorating, Clean gutters, General repairs

Critical: Responsiveness He came out for an exterior house painting estimate on time. Appeared very knowledgeable, but never provided an estimate after promising to have one to me by the next day. Its been over a week and no estimate yet. The least they can do is tell you up front they are not interested in doing the work.

My husband and I recently purchased a home in Lake Forest which required a fair amount of renovation. After extensive research and meeting a number of highly recommended painters, we chose H. F. Steilberg for a complete repaint of our home. From the time we met Mike Steilberg to the moment his team finished, we received the highest level of professionalism, guidance, communication and the best quality paint work we have ever received.

I don't say that lightly as we have used numerous painters over the years for a variety of projects. As a matter of fact, when his team folded up shop after completion, it was like having family members move out. I would trust this team no matter how big or small the job. If you don't have H. F. Steilberg quoting your paint work, you are making a big mistake.

Pressured washed and sealed our deck. The painters did a very thorough job. Deck furniture returned to proper place. Painters very courteous and pleasant to have around. Service: Exterior painting

Mike's team performed lead paint remediation, painting and a small amount of plaster repair. Everyone was very professional, pleasant, on time and did great work. They're very open to hearing feedback and immediately wanting to make things right. Mike also has great advice and was helpful in guiding me on topics when I wasn't sure how to proceed. We'll be happy to have them back when we're ready to tackle the next project.
