In general, yes. There are times when there are jobs out of town or which require special equipment; such as steep roofs, which may be charged for the extra time or access. We recommend that you meet the estimator in person. A major investment in your home like replacing your roof involves more than just the lowest price.

Roofs in Albuquerque and throughout New Mexico are subject to special conditions. The intense sunlight and dry desert climate require special consideration when selecting a roof. Certain roofing materials are just not practical and require excessive care-wooden shingles are an example. The tar and gravel of the flat roofs found throughout New Mexico are very resistant to heat and sunlight.

As you can see in this photo the roofing material which is sealed to the stucco is totally compromised (note the cracks in the black sealing material). Damage like this allows water to travel along the roof joists and leak into your ceiling and walls. Acids and enzymes in the composting matter will compromise the roof leading to roofing failure.

This is not advisable as there are too many variables and the quote would not be accurate. While it is possible to get a replacement bid from a satellite or drone image it will not show all the details of your roof.
