Because of his love for the outdoors and agriculture coupled with his desire to serve people, he began to see pest control as his passion. What could be more important than protecting homes from wood destroying pests and disease causing insects and rodents? Clayton Smith, Philip's father, was a middle school and high school science teacher, who instilled in him a love for life, agriculture, and an appreciation for the environment. In November of 1995, after obtaining a degree in Business Administration / Marketing, Philip opened Compass Pest Management in Greenville, SC.

I have been a Compass Pest customer I believe since Philip Smith started the company in the 1990's. This is one of only a handful of reviews I have ever written. Dale Greene was inspecting my house the other day and noticed excess moisture under my house. He spoke very highly of Compass Pest's McCrea Burt's ability in moisture abatement and said he would send him out today along with Tim Glore for my booster treatment to do an assessment.
