This must be the most customer-friendly supply business in the Monadnock region. I needed a specially-cut piece of Plexiglas and was told by every place from Belletetes in Jaffrey and Peterborough to Home Depot and the other big box stores in Keene that it was impossible. But Mike at Hamshaw Lumber simply said with a smile "we can do that, " and within minutes I was happily on my way.

Just wanted to take a moment and say thank you! I've had the pleasure of receiving wonderful customer service from a handful of Hamshaw employees. First and foremost, Dwight! What a guy! Friendly, helpful, and always working hard. Tim J. has went above and beyond to make sure the experiences my fiance and I have had when ordering through Hamshaw's are top notch. Mike and David also need a good kudos. Kyle in the yard is awesome helpful! We appreciate the good customer service and kindness! KUDOS!

The people and the service makes it special. They are local and friendly. They take the time to really help you. The woman at the counter was not familiar with how to help me and she called a coworker who had more experience and he took the time to help me.

Have never had good customer service at this store. Even when i have called ahead to ask about an item and availablily, i have had problems. Many salesclerks are clueless. Hamshaw could learn something. Edmunds hardware in Antrim and Antrim lumber ars go to places for me Hamshaw could learn a lot from them
