Called them as an investor looking to pay them for their services. Quite rude on the phone and told me not to call back without offering an explanation. If you're not taking on new clients at the moment, just say that. Extremely unprofessional.

Don't ever let them rent for you. Not only will they be the worst landlords you could expect, but they'll send you a bill in the mail saying you owe them more or their "services." Anytime you try to complain to your property managers they'll be fired and replaced within a month. Avoid these people at all costs.

I live at one of the downtown Lawrence loft buildings and had an emergency with my car this week. The leasing office was quick to respond to my request to park my car in the underground garage (even though I currently do not have a pass) for the evening and were very kind. Every interaction I have had with the leasing office has been cordial and they have been quick to respond to my requests. Thank you all!

We have loved our experience with first management! My fiance and I have lived in a few different places in Lawrence and this has by far been our favorite in every way. Maintenance is quick, management is responsive and really cares about their tenants. Building is clean and the pool is AMAZING. We are excited for another year here!

Ive rented from first management for a year and its been hell. They tried to break the lease i had with them all because they wanted to remodel apts. My lease ends 7/31 and they wanted to end my lease a month early. Which is super illegal. They basically told me there was nothing i could do. Well i know my rights as a renter. I told them i had a lawyer who wanted a copy of my lease (which i do). And they called me back, took back what they said real fast. They know what they are doing is illegal and its so sketchy. Do not rent from them.

Wish I could rate 0 stars, do not live under this management company. There is absolutely no professionalism to be found and they could care less about their tenants. Every time I have called and asked a question it seems as though no one has been trained. They tow their own tenants vehicles. I asked them if it would be unreasonable to keep a repository of license plates of their tenants so even if they don't have a sticker they won't get towed (as the parking lot is NEVER full, not once since I lived there, and the parking lot is dangerous) but I was told that would be "too much to handle because they manage too many properties", even though they take down the make and model of each car when they hand out stickers?
I've asked to speak to anyone that know what's they're doing multiple times, but it seems like the whole place is run by college kids who live in the properties they manage. Do not live here if your looking to have landlords that are responsible and care about their tenants
