Doc Air Science has shown us how to make our buildings healthier, more energy efficient, and more comfortable. Homeowners, property managers, and real estate professionals are looking for companies like DocAir to take building science and apply it to real life - in our homes and our workplaces. DocAir diagnoses sick buildings, then develops sustainable solutions to "Cure" the buildings.

First, we conduct a comprehensive evaluation so that we understand the building as an integrated system of components. Treating a symptom is not the same as addressing the underlying cause.

Request An Evaluation
Report
Request An Evaluation to determine the root cause of any adverse conditions. Whether the problem is with air quality, high energy bills, or drainage, DocAir will apply its forensic skills and experience to provide the customer with solutions that match the situation, the client's priorities, and the budget.
Blower Door Testing
Report
During the audit, the blower door is temporarily installed onto the frame of an exterior door-typically the main entrance. Then, all exterior doors and windows are closed while all interior doors are left open. While the fan pushes air outside, the air pressure inside your home is lowered. This allows for the higher air pressure outside to flow through any cracks, gaps, and penetrations.
HERS Rating
Report
The HERS Index measures a home's energy efficiency based on a standardized score. A typical resale home scores 130 on the HERS Index while a new home is awarded a rating of 100. Therefore a home with a HERS Index Score of 70 is 30% more energy efficient than a standard new home. Energy modeling software takes into account building components, spatial considerations, and leakage rate.
