Chimney Crown Repairs
Report
Water will sit in the cracks and the cycle of freezing and thawing will cause them to get deeper and wider. Eventually water will be able to enter the interior of the chimney between the flue and the outer walls. This water will then damage the inside of the chimney and cause costly damage to the surrounding walls and ceilings in the house.
Fireplace Chimney Relining
Report
A fireplace chimney liner is your first line of defense against a chimney fire. It is a protective fireproof material within the chimney flue (the passageway for the smoke and fumes) that keeps the heat and smoke within the flue and prevents the spread of fire in the case of a chimney fire. The National Fire Protection Association standards (which building codes are based upon) requires that all masonry chimneys have a lining that would be the equivalent protection of 5/8 thick fireclay.Prior to the mid 1930s, most homes in the Denver area didn't have any real flue lining.
Furnace Chimney Relining
Report
A furnace/boiler chimney liner is your first line of defense against poisonous fumes and destructive gasses. It is a protective material within the chimney flue (the passageway for the smoke and fumes) that works to ensure that the exhaust gasses cannot escape from the chimney and into the home. The liner also protects the masonry chimney from damage caused by these gasses.

Chimney Flue Dampers
Report
A damper is basically a door that is used to open and close the flue to let the smoke out when you're using the fireplace and prevent cold air from entering the house when you're not having a fire. A broken or inefficient damper will cause your house to feel cold and drafty and cost much more to heat.
