Bill and his son are the best in the business. When I was shopping for garage openers for my house, I was referred to them. They came out, guided me on what I needed with what I wanted and installed it quickly. The attention to detail and the quality of install was top notch. Thank you guys for your great work at my house. Will never use another garage door company again.

I replaced two aging steel doors with wood doors and couldn't be happier. Bill Jr. is a straight shooter. He patiently talked through all of the options and quickly turned around a quote. Yesterday, the doors were installed by Rob and he did a fantastic job. The older garage doors, who were probably put in by the previous owner, were done poorly. Rob spent the time re-engineering the entire configuration including re-running the tracks the doors sit on.
He really cared about the aesthetic and I couldn't be happier. It looks great, the doors can now open easily (I had so many issues with the older doors) and it dramatically improved how the garage looks. I would definitely consider Skillman Doors for any future garage door needs.

Needed service on one of the torsion springs -- they wear out and ours lasted at least 8 years if not more (previous owners installed the doors). The Skillman team (Bill Jr.) was very professional, friendly, and responsive. They replaced the spring and tuned / oiled things up. Highly recommend Skillman as they are a family business that does great work and takes customer service seriously.

First of all, the Yelp average for this org does not reflect its well-loved reputation in the neighborhood Facebook group, SOMa Lounge. Second of all, add me to the list of people who thoroughly expected to buy a brand new garage door and instead only paid for a service call. It seemed like everything was wrong with our ancient Craftsman opener, and the door wasn't doing much better.
We put off the service call as long as possible, figuring the whole thing was a total loss anyway. Finally, when I could barely even open the door manually, I caved and scheduled an estimate. Imagine my surprise when the Skillman rep came (the same day), poked around with it, told me he could straighten it out, and made everything nearly perfect.

The tech showed up as scheduled. Rod was very professional and knowledgeable. One of the wheels kept coming off the track. He fixed the initial problem and was able to pinpoint why, and provided some preventative maintenance. Also explained everything he did. Price was very fair. I would definitely recommend. We went with Skillman Doors because we wanted a quality door. We bought and paid in full for a quality door but its a disaster and Skillman has so far taken no responsibility for ruining our brand new garage door. The did not seal the wood or prime before painting and the wood is seeping thru the paint. NOT to mention they cracked part of the frame when installing it. They have done nothing but waste our time so far. They are terrible and we are out almost $4000 as of right now!
