Minick Materials

Bought black mulch from here and it looked they had just chopped tree limbs and twigs with a lawn mower. Some pieces were even 1ft+. There was rocks and trash in the mulch and had pretty much lost all of its color. Definitely not worth what they charge compared to other bulk material places, for the price they charge you could go buy bags from Lowe's and still get better quality.

March 18, 2022 I was a first-time customer of Minnick. I called and talked with one of the girls at the office. I told her the dimensions of 5 raised beds I needed to fill with garden ready soil. She told me I would need a bout 1 ton of soil for them all. I scheduled a delivery - and the delivery only cost was about 120.00 They brought my garden ready soil to my home and when I saw how little soil was there, I asked the delivery man if this was all there was.

He told me to call the business. I did call them and told them there was not enough soil to fill 2 of the 5 raised beds. The lady on the phone told me I needed 3-4 tons. And there was no way they would deliver the soil for free. I told them numerous times that it was on their end of miscalculating my soil need and why should I pay another 120.00 for soil. the soil is 68.50 per ton.

She said she talked to the person in charge, and I was told they could not bring me soil that they would not make money from. I am and was willing to pay for the extra soil. Well, the other "solution" they had was for me to bring a pickup or trailer and load it there. That was the reason for me PAYING so much to have it delivered. I only live about 7-8 miles from their business. I am very unhappy with this company. This was not a good experience at all.

Gosh, you know, I love working with these guys and gals! Last summer we got a truck of sand delivered, amazing service amazing product. Today we went to pick up a load of compost for the new garden. I thought I knew what I wanted, and then Daniel(?) listened to what I was doing and made excellent recommendations for me. We pulled around back, got loaded in less than 5 min, weighed, paid and out.

Easy peasy! Also, the guy that runs the loader was hella cool too! Here I am pointing at a different pile, thinking I just have to have that too, and he tells me what it is and let's me decide (against it, it was perty and black mulch. Not what I needed). He totally coulda just let us get that too-it wouldn't have hurt him none. So I appreciate the info. Seriously, this whole team is all about customer service and they excel tremendously! I'm already looking around for my next project so I can go back!

Great! We were looking for a specific type of rock which they had. Also, liked all of the garden pots, need to go back when the patio is finished.

I came in as newby to get gravel and rock for a landscape project, and the staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have since been back two other times to get additional materials. Great company and people!

Very happy with my purchase of 1ton garden ready. Everyone very helpful. Today I was a little concerned about getting stuck but the awd Traverse had no problems. I'll be back!

Love Minick. Great selection and reasonable prices. They delivered some rather large rocks for us and even took extra time to help us place them in our rock garden.

I want to clarify that this review is from a regular homeowner point of view. I'm not a contractor or landscaper. I just went to look for a stone to use as an edge of my flowerbed. I was able to walk around freely and look at all the different types of stone, boulders, pebbles, etc that they had on site. So that's a plus. Unfortunately for me, I don't know what all falls into the wall stone or decorative rock categories that are listed in their price list.

I also don't know the name of the stone just by looking at it so I couldn't determine the pricing. There weren't any labels other than numbers that may have designated what I was looking at. I happened to go on the weekend and it was VERY busy and parking is very limited. On a good note, I was able to get free samples of stones for my flowerbed. I still don't know how much they cost after deciding what I like.

I had a wonderful experience at Minick Materials. The service was outstanding. The staff were extremely nice and way more helpful here than most places. I felt like I received the individual assistance I needed in order to make the best selections out of their wide variety of materials. I will definitely be giving them my business again and will tell others to do so as well.

We had a fantastic experience with Minick on Council Road. They were so helpful when making the selections! Their delivery driver did a great job unloading the rocks at our home. We even went back a day later to purchase additional rock and mulch. Their set up for loading in our vehicle was smooth and easy! We cannot say enough good things about Minick Materials!,
