Called with a plumbing emergency and the woman who took my call was very helpful and friendly and gave me a rundown of what to expect. The tech Chris came within the time frame after a 30 mins heads up as promised. He listened to me and inspected and came back with the problem and was up front with pricing, all my options and the total cost. He was friendly, knowledgeable and respectful of my home. Chris left my bathroom cleaner than he found it. Definitely recommend and will call again next time we need a plumber!

In our case, we had a water pipe that was beginning to leak at a 30+ y/o joint. The technicians evaluated the problem and then explained a fix that would not only resolve the problem, but help prevent future issues. They then went over the cost of repairs. The price was reasonable and the repair was top notch. The techs were personable and experts at their trade. Yes, I would recommend them and if future repairs are needed, call Mike's first.

Integrity is everything. They replaced a kitchen faucet and they replaced a flush valve in a toilet. Everything was fine with the kitchen faucet, but a couple of months later the toilet started a very slow leak. They came and checked it out and said it was from the bolt attaching the tank to the base. They could've tried to say this is a separate part and it is on you, but instead they said our man was the last person to touch it so we are going to replace it for no charge. Sometimes things just go wrong. They took the responsibility. That is integrity. I will always use Mike's Plumbing in the future knowing they stand behind their work.

Will was great he took the time to explain the problem in a lot of detail but not too much jargon so I could understand, his fix made sense and it has not only resolved the complaint but has helped out water pressure and heat everywhere in the home-- we are thrilled! We highly recommend Mike's Plumbing. They were very efficient with same day turn around. Their technicians were knowledgeable and explained everything that was being done. I had an AMAZING experience. I missed the guys name sadly but he had truck 15. They showed up on time with notification beforehand. They were so precise with their gas line btu calculations and sharing with me their thoughts along the way so I was in the loop as to why they were leaning toward certain options over others. They said to do it properly they should install new and have a inspector go over it to insure it's safe.

Not only did they say my line was too small but they used a simple chart to show the BTU limitations of my current gas line that was DIYd from the last home owner. Most people who use plumbing services probably aren't in the best mood because of the financial expense. Here's my bottom line. I will spend more money every time without blinking an eye for people who are customer oriented and get the job done.

I keep coming back and spreading the word of company's that make it hard for others to compete because there THAT AMAZING. MIKES IS THAT COMPANY! PS the front door mat that protected my new one and the super clean professional uniforms were great touches.

Mike's Plumbing is an exceptional plumbing & heating service company! Their customer service is second to no one.they first replaced my hot water heater approximately about a year ago & then just recently when I had an issue with my tub faucet & water softener. They have a service contract that is phenomenal! $89.00 annually & you receive a 10% discount on any services, they perform an annual checkup & give you priority in scheduling (meaning they put you at the top of the list)with any future service that you might need.hands down best plumbing company in Harford County in my humble opinion!

I am flipping a house so I have hired a lot of plumbers over the past year. Mike's plumbing is the best. Other plumbers come in with slightly better pricing but when they leave the job is not done or is done very sloppy. I've had to call Mike's on several occasions to fix mistakes other plumbers have made. I finally learned my lesson and will call Mike's the first time every time. When you call, ask for Will. He enjoys his work and really knows his stuff.

Today was my second encounter with Mikes Plumbing and Heating in Colorado Springs. We live in an apartment complex. Last week our heat was running non stop, even with the system shut off. Tech came out and "fixed" the problem. My girlfriend said he was very rude. Fast forward a week later to the snow and colder temps. I turn the heat on and nothing!

Our heater went from running non stop to not running at all. Our complex again called Mikes Plumbing and Heating to come check it out. This was reported at 4:30pm, the repair men did not show up until 11:30pm! Who the hell shows up at 11:30pm on a tuesday night to fix a heater! Not only did they show up at an unreasonable time, they tech was again rude. The only good thing they did was leave me two space heaters to keep my apartment warm for the night. Would have given them 0 stars if it was an option.

We called Mike's Plumbing after an "expert installer" from L*we$ snapped off the water supply line behind the kitchen wall while installing a new dishwasher. Mike sent over "Charlie" in less than 30 minutes. We couldn't have asked for a nicer and more professional plumber! And he wasn't even showing a standard plumber's butt crack (LOL).

He got right to work and fixed the problem in record time! If you need a plumber that is personable, professional, and knows his trade - call Mike's and ask for Charlie - you'll be glad you did!

Just had a horrible experience with this "family run" business. Beware! They will charge you an exorbitant price and overkill with trying to sell you all these package/bundled plans that are ridiculous for what should be a straightforward job. My elderly mother's old wall sink in her powder room was deteriorating, so my brother provided the new sink/vanity to have a new one installed.

They wanted $1400 to remove and replace! And they sold her a $250 faucet. Who needs a $250 faucet. We have Delta faucets in our home for under $100 and they're just fine. My husband and I live in the Washington DC area (typically expensive) and had the same job done, an old sink, for $300 and we too provided the sink/vanity/faucets so this was just for labor and that was the total bill.

I even called yet another reputable plumbing company in our area to see if I'd get a much different quote. Nope, their answer-$300-$400 and seniors get a 10% discount! Unfortunately, my brother signed the contract without reading everything--his bad. When he called Mike back a couple days later to complain, he said this guy was very defensive, not the least bit interested in his dissatisfaction, no offer to reduce the price, and threatened my brother that he had signed the contract. Wow! Lesson learned.

Mike's Plumbing and Heating installed a new water heater in our home, they were professional, clean, knowledgeable and fast. I have rarely read any negative reviews on Mike's Plumbing and believe the reviews on Yelp are not always trustworthy. In my experience, you're better off checking the Better Business Bureau and Google reviews.

So I called Mike's for a quote I need a new p trap I think it's called and my pop up adjusted. That is about a 25 min job. So tech comes in checks it out want to come upstairs and sit in my kitchen to draw up a quote takes almost 30 mins to do. ( I'm thinking this is not the company for me) so comes back with 4 or 5 different numbers.

I thinking dude it's a extremely small job! So the quote run for over $500 to $380 just to put a bandaid on the situation. So I said I'm not paying more then $200. He also tried to sell me some type of protection plan on a $20 piece of pipe smh. He calls his manager he takes $50 more off. I'm like okay time to get out of my house. Cost $20 bucks to be told a quote that was unaffordable.

Long story short had a master plumber come in and get the job done in 20 mins flat for $175. I would have really been upset if these where the ppl I called in a emergency. Call someone else!

I have the same complaint in regards to a garbage disposal replacement. Was offered 4 options starting from 600 to 1000 bucks. which was way over what we wanted, but I have used Mikes in the past so decided since I had a good experience prior I would trust them again. Unfortunately I shouldn't have. I asked for a breakdown of cost of unit and labor and was told they cant give that to me as the charge a "per job price" so again I trusted them however after installing the new garbage disposal (I chose the 600 option) I decided to research the unit that they installed and I found that its less than 100.00! so that would be 500 for labor costs.

That is absolutely ridiculous and extremely uncalled for. Note to anyone that wants to use Mikes, take your time and research the cost of what they will be using as parts before determining to go with them as your plumbing servicer. I will no longer be using Mikes and I will be sure to spread the word of our recent experience.

I wouldn't give much consideration to the negative reviews- this company is the Baltimore's best plumbing company for a reason. I've used them twice- their plumbers are clean, neat, highly trained and they stand behind their work! If you're comparing their prices with some Craigslist plumber without a license and without the proper skills- yes, Mike's will seem more expensive. If quality, reputation and professionalism matters- pay a few extra dollars and get the job done right. I'd never use any other company.

F these guys!, they try to sell me a garbage disposal for 1100 bucks! I call them for a slow drain nothing is wrong with my disposal! They came out, wrote down 5 options starting from 600 bucks to 1100 wtf! And didn't even touch my sink. Really!? 600 bucks to snake a sink!?!

Called Mike's because the water heater pilot would not stay lit and the sticker was on the water heater. $19.95 appearance fee. Great phone people, great follow up, tech, Chris, showed up on time but he looks at the water heater for a second and says it's about 10 years old and about time to replace it. Water heaters last 10-15 years. This one is 10 years old in 3 days.

I say I'd rather not if possible and I would like it if he would at least look at it. I leave him to look at but instead he just writes for about 10 minutes and then tells me $179. to re-lite the pilot and who knows from there along with a story about how much of a problem it could be. He never even touched the water heater, didn't even test the pilot lite switch, he just looked at it.

It does not appear to be in bad repair or anything. I told him I would pay him his $20 and we'll call it a day. So, call it a bad tech, bad communication, either way they got me for $20 and I called someone who explained the issue, took the model number, ordered the possible part in question and is on the way.

Always prompt, always courteous, extremely professional. We had a recent sewage backup and toilet overflow, both within days, neither related to each other. They have the equipment and know-how to diagnose the problem accurately and matter-of-factly. They tell me they've even resolved marital disputes! We've dealt with various contractors over the years and we've found our go-to guys for two things. Plumbing is one of them.
