This must be the most customer-friendly supply business in the Monadnock region. I needed a specially-cut piece of Plexiglas and was told by every place from Belletetes in Jaffrey and Peterborough to Home Depot and the other big box stores in Keene that it was impossible. But Mike at Hamshaw Lumber simply said with a smile "we can do that, " and within minutes I was happily on my way.

Always have what I need, I get pellets delivered, they go above and beyond to put the pallets when I need them. Sometimes I divide 2 in front 2 in back. They always accommodate my wishes

Friendly, helpful, and always working hard. Tim J. has went above and beyond to make sure the experiences my fiance and I have had when ordering through Hamshaw's are top notch. The people and the service makes it special. They are local and friendly. They take the time to really help you. The woman at the counter was not familiar with how to help me and she called a coworker who had more experience and he took the time to help me.

Have never had good customer service at this store. Even when i have called ahead to ask about an item and availablily, i have had problems. Many salesclerks are clueless. Hamshaw could learn something. Edmunds hardware in Antrim and Antrim lumber ars go to places for me Hamshaw could learn a lot from them

Checked online and they had the grill i wanted. I was in and out in under 10 minutes! A++

They have an outbreak of zombies bring your poking stick. The zombies ignore the public safety signs and increase the risk of plague spreading in town. Would recommend they enforce their antizombie signage and kick the zombies out. Their pricing is decent even though they have a zombie problem. Would give them a higher score if they got rid of the zombie problem or at least forcable install head gear on the zombies.

Great pricing, Better then Homeless Deportation. Great lumber selection. Had a fight with HD back in March on lumber, 2x10x14, only found 9 good out of 40 peices. Was there 1.5 hours and asked if they could bring another pallet of 2x10x14, was told no problem. Waited until 1/2 before closing to tell me that he wasn't going to pull a pallet late in the day. That was it with Homeless Deportation. No more $$$$$$ money from housing projects. Screw HD 5 thumbs up for Hamshaw Lumber

This place has the worst order management of anyone I've ever dealt with. I ordered a ton of wood pellets for delivery and paid for them a month ago. I called to confirm delivery and found out they were planning to ship the wrong product. I've been waiting all day for a call giving a delivery time for the corrected order but not a word from the seller. I wouldn't use Hamshaw Lumber again for anything even if they were giving it away.

I mostly only buy pellets at their annual Labor Day sale. I've always had a great experience with them.

Was very pleased with their selection of products and quality of lumber.

I've been a contractor for most of my life, and have had a wide range of experiences dealing with suppliers. Hamshaws has been my go to for quite a few years now, and I have been thrilled with them. In particular Tim Joyal in the paint department exemplifies the highest level of customer service excellence. He has gone above and beyond for me many times, as well as working directly with my clients to fine tune their preferences, making me look good at my job. Hamshaw Lumber is a first class operation that stands out in the industry, and I'd recommend them to anyone else in the trades.

My fiance went in person to apply for this job and one of the managers Tim was extremely rude and told him if they didn't find anyone better they would contact him and questioned him over and over if he was actually committed and wanted to be there. If I could give zero stars I would.

Went yesterday afternoon seemed a little short of help. Had a short wait to get checked out but went well. Yard help was helpful didn't have a gate person so yard help had to do that also. Good place to shop with a large selection of most anything you need and best of all is it is locally owned!

I receive special discount mailers from Ace, however when I go to use them it seems the item I am looking forward is not carried and I wind up going elsewhere. example: miracle grow liquid bottles for my miracle grow hose attachment. "if its not on the shelf, we don't have it." That was my response. Poor business I would say.

Don't waste your time at Home Depot. These guys rock! Great selection with a knowledgeable and helpful staff. From lumber, to home goods, and even design services. You won't regret shopping here.

Those people there are very nice and very helpful. When I ask for something, they walk me over and give me the right stuff I need for projects and other stuff. I thank the staff for that! This store is organized and very good.
