Terrible experience with this company. The "estimate" involves no actual visit to your home. The estimator asks you to take photos and measure, yourself. Then you have a virtual appointment where the estimator (Mark) draws a few lines on the photos you've sent on your screen using a Zoom-like program and he makes suggestions. Next it's the contract. and deposit. Really?

No one comes out to see the actual structure or take any real measurements? Told Mark that I needed to discuss his suggestions with the wife and that I would contact him with our decision. I even made a drawing of what we want (after considering Mark's suggestions) and emailed him the drawing the very next day. Now it's 10 full days later and Mark hasn't even had the decency to respond.

He completely wasted my time (and his). I would NEVER hire this company. And there is no way that I would remotely send them thousands of dollars for a deposit and sign a contract when they can't even reply to my email. Who does business this way? Is this company even legitimate?

We have had 2 great experiences with Home Trimwork! A few years ago, we added wainscoting to our hallway and stairs and recently had them install built in shelves and upgrade our mantle. Beautiful and they were so easy to work with!

Mark was patient as we designed our projects. He had different options for different budgets. They did projects in two different rooms in our house. I can't say enough great things about Eugene who came to do the work in our house! He was so respectful and nice to work with. He went above and beyond to make sure everything turned out just right, really went the extra mile. When unexpected things came up, he had solutions and options ready for us.

Do NOT use this company if you are looking for someone in the NJ area. Considering the investment we were planning to make (we are going to do trim work throughout our entire house as well as upgrading the staircase poles to wrought iron) it was unbelievable that after two calls and the second one with an incredibly rude customer service person, we still hadn't been contacted by their supposed "designer." Most important to note is that the "designer" Marc who services the NJ area does not do in-house consultations, but rather asks the homeowner to take photos of their home and he'll provide an online consult. A pretty pitiful level of service when we're talking a 5-6 digit investment. STEER clear of these guys. They may have a glossy website, but the follow up is not there.

Just wanted to write a review of Home Trimwork, as they certainly deserve it. I notice here on Yelp they currently don't have any reviews. I don't normally write reviews, but feel I must. Me and my wife couldn't be anymore happier with the work they've done and I know for folks who are searching for a company to go with, that you probably depend on reviews of others, just as I do. I'll post some pics of the work they've done in our house as well.

I live in Chester Springs PA in the Weatherstone Community. We had three different quotes in for the work. Wainscoting throughout the house, replacing all of the window casing, door casing, baseboard and 1/4 round, crown molding, built-in bookshelves, and coffered ceilings - quite a bit of work. All three of the companies had helped with designing it. However, Ulan (Home Trimworks designer) was certainly the most helpful and helped the most.

Being a designer myself just different industry (in Advertising), I can say he really knows what he's talking about and has a great vision for interior trim work. Their prices were certainly reasonable. They had two carpenters come in and do the work. They were blazing fast. The other companies that had quoted this project had this taking 4 weeks to complete after the materials came in. HT's materials took about 3 weeks to get here (was a lot of material, filled up half our garage), came from Bucks Lumber. However, their carpenters did it in only a week and a half!

They don't waste any time. They were here at 8am everyday and left around 5pm, cleaning up after themselves every day. I work from home, so I'd interface with them everyday as well. Very friendly people. Some things came up during the carpentry and HT's workers were there to give suggestions on what should be done (obviously, we can't foresee every little small detail ahead of time, and the carpenters would point out all of the design decisions that needed to be done and made recommendations).

Their work has completely changed our house, see pics. For anyone looking for a carpentry company, look no further -- they're the real deal. Thanks again HT. Cheers, Dave
