Heartland Windows opened its doors in 1994 in Aplington, Iowa as a small family-owned business and quickly became a dominant force in the Midwestern window market. A manufacturer specializing in wholesale vinyl replacement windows, Heartland has become renowned for its advanced product engineering and state-of-the-art production thanks to a very simple philosophy: sell quality and craftsmanship, not price and false promises.

We offer an extensive line of products of windows and doors, all certified by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC), Energy Star Windows Program, and the Mid-American Utilities rebate program.
Services
Beautifully crafted with clean, smooth faces, all our windows are custom fit for every installation. This made-to-order process helps eliminate drafts, leaks, and energy loss and makes your window easier to install, which saves you money. Our u-PVC vinyl technology virtually eliminates maintenance.
Offering the same u-PVC vinyl technology as our vinyl window product line and featuring reinforced sashes, steel fortified frames, and a heavy-duty locking system, our doors are as durable as they are attractive. Our doors won't split, rot, warp, chalk, or rust when exposed to the element. There's no painting, staining, caulking, or changing storms and screens - helping you save time, money, and energy! Our patio doors contain a moving sash that slides back and forth and are available in two-, three-, and four-panel configurations.
The sealed, insulated glass unit is warranted against defects resulting in material obstruction of vision from film formation caused by dust or moisture in the dead air space of the sealed unit, for a period of 30 years from date of installation. Should the glass fail prior to year 10, then we will provide you with a replacement sealed glass unit at no charge.

Great customer service in my experience. I've been missing a window crank for a new window since they've been installed. Got tired of asking the contractor and called Heartland directly, they sent it out no charge in a couple days. Thank you.

The quality and selection of Heartland Windows is excellent. Their standard Low E 366 with Neat glass package is one of the most efficient you can purchase. They even have R5 rated triple pane glass options for colder climates. Windows operate flawlessly and the frames are sturdy. Customer service is also very helpful and knowledgeable about their product. For a high quality and affordable window, I would highly recommend Heartland Windows.

Awful windows! I've had them probably close to 10 years and they leak air terribly, to the point of ice 1/4 thick on the inside of the window. The only ones that don't leak are the ones that are solid (picture window) and don't open. I've contacted the installer and the manufacturer, both came out and said they would be back but that was several years ago. Nothing was ever done. Do not buy Heartland windows!

As someone who has professionally installed these windows for over a decade I can confidently say that these are an excellent product. The customer service is fantastic and the top notch quality is what you'd expect when the windows are made here in Iowa. I'd also like to point out that the negative reviews are likely from misuse, abuse, or ignorance.

One individual even posted a picture of his wood window that wasn't even a Heartland product and still decided to give a poor review. Callbacks for these windows are rare. As I mentioned above, most of the time customers are not closing a window properly or have managed to somehow dislocate a sash while cleaning. I've installed dozens of different brands of windows for people and few come close to the consistent quality that Heartland offers.

I am a self-employed skilled contractor and I have in no way been financially incentivized by Heartland to post this review. I love installing their products because they genuinely make my job much easier.

I personally installed the Heartland Hampton series in my home 3 years ago, and these windows are truly outstanding. Our home is so much quieter, so much warmer, and the windows actually open and close flawlessly. We have a combination of double hung and also 3 large sliders. I also refinished our wood floors soon after, and we've had zero fading.

Just this winter, on a zero degree morning, we did discover a seal failure on an upper double hung sash. I confirmed the frost was between the glass panels, and our supplier had me take a picture of the sticker on the sash and immediately ordered the replacement through warranty. I've installed other brands myself in other homes in past years, and the Heartland windows are just far superior in structure.

In fact, I installed large sliders for my in-laws from a major brand competitor just a few months prior to my personal install, and the construction was extremely flimsy compared to the Heartland windows. No comparison in quality, and the Heartland windows were quite a bit less expensive.

Had 23 Heartland Hampton windows installed 6 years ago. After doing my research, the Hampton was the best "bang for my buck" that I found in my area. The windows have 366 Low E glass, which is the best Low-E glass available on the market. Also they come with "Neat" glass, which is a type of glass stays clean on the outside without washing. I never have to wash my windows anymore!

I don't really understand the other reviews regarding repairs. Manufacturers don't provide the labor for service work, period. That's up to the local dealer who you bought the windows from. I am a retired engineer and that's how it was in my field as well. I've never had any need for service on my windows, but if I ever do, I will obviously contact the dealer who installed the windows for me. Not the manufacturer.

Terrible windows and service! I would have rated 0 stars but in order to post I had to give at least 1 star. The double hung windows work fine but the sliders leak air and outdoor odors. When questioned about this problem I was told by Todd that the sliders, be design, will leak. We asked to have them replaced with double hung and he refused. We have the slider windows taped and sealed shut to prevent leakage and therefore do not open them. Oh, they did give us sponges to put in the window channels where the air and smells come in. What a joke!

Have had my Heartland replacement windows for 16 years now. Have had to do repairs on several of the windows about 10 years in. This year I finally contacted Heartland to come out and replace some pieces that were pealing and a pane that had been clouded up since 5 years after installation. I contacted them 3 months ago via email, then a "contact form, " then a phone call.

They scheduled my repair but the guy failed to call me to schedule. Another call. The repair gentleman was great, but it took multiple calls to Heartland to get him out here the first time, 2.5 months after my initial contact with the company. He said he would be back in a month. Another call today, at 3 months, and apparently the "paperwork must have slipped through the cracks." My sense is that you have to chase this company to service their windows, which isn't good customer service.

The caulk/seal failed between the glass and frame on several of my windows that allowed water to get into the house and damage the interior trim. I am not the original home owner so I don't know when the damage started but the windows were installed 12 years ago. If you have these windows I would recommend checking the caulk/seal regularly as it will not last.
