Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Doug's crew was 4 months behind with zero communication. They scraped the lower portion of the house, left and never returned, leaving the siding unprotected for the fall and winter. They also left the paint buckets open so when it rained the the paint was ruined. See you in small claims court Doug. Service: Exterior painting

1. I was told work would start "in a couple weeks" and a couple weeks would pass, I would call to find out the status and was told "in a couple weeks." Eventually I asked to either postpone the start of the siding job until the spring or return our deposit and POOF got a start date for later that week. 2. The project manager showed up (not Doug like we thought would be doing the work) and he asked about the garage space Doug told us would be needed. Doug did not tell us they would need this and had to move stuff around to accommodate them. 3.

The project manager also tried to convince us to leave the old siding up and put the new siding over it which was not what we were quoted for nor was it the purpose since we wanted to know the condition of the house under the old deteriorating siding. We had to convince him to do the job the way we wanted done. 4. We had an inconsistent flow of workers on our house who disrespected our property.

Our totes and recycling bins were used to carry their garbage. The dumpster was consistently left wide open at the end of the day. They parked their vehicles in the middle of our lawn (all 4 tires). They peed behind our shed; one day I was walking the dog in the back yard to keep him out of their way and walked in on a guy finishing his business. 5.

They were disrespectful to our plants. They broke (not cut) an excessive amount branches of our lilac bushes without asking us to trim them first. They trampled the 3 hydrangeas to the ground. The one hydrangea they didn't trample they keep parking their lift on top of. They used flower pots with healthy plants as containers for their screws. 6. We had to convince them to replace damaged plywood on the house multiple times even after it was stated multiple times we wanted all damage even minimal damage to be replaced. 7.

The job was imprefect. The trim on doors was inconsistent, the color of the J blocks used was inconsistent (white and the grey used on the trim). 8. The job was incomplete/we already need warranty covered repairs 3 months later. There is a small piece of siding that wasn't put in, a few nails that weren't hammered in, and a piece of flashing is already falling off. 9.

Because the job was done in the winter the amount of debris left was obnoxious. They didn't clean up as they went to went so debris got covered with snow. The snow melted and it looked like they didn't clean up at all. We found 2 foot pieces of old siding, scrap of new siding, and tons of nails and screws. Debris and nails (hundreds) were found on all 4 sides of our house and midway into our yard.

The amount of nails we are finding in piles make us question how safe our yard is for our pets and children. I was told Doug would send someone to clean up this week. Cross your fingers? 10. The job took forever to finish. It was started the beginning of December and ended mid January. Through Christmas and New Years and multiple house guests. They project manager did feel bad it was taking so long but the guys hired to help showed up inconsistently, the project manager worked alone some days.

It was clear this was the reason the job took so long. We were told the guys hired to help didn't show up because they had their own jobs they needed to work on. 11. Doug was good about getting back to me after I called with my complaints but I kept getting an apology accompanied with "my crew knows better." Obviously they don't and obviously Doug doesn't relay complaints to the crew.

I didn't think I needed to extensively research a company that has been around as long as it has. I thought I could trust my house in the hands of a neighbor. Although he gave us a fair price apparently we got what we paid for.
