Since 1948 GRC Mechanical Services has been designing, installing and servicing quality air conditioning, refrigeration and heating systems for residential, commercial and industrial clients in Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Morris and Hudson counties in New Jersey and Rockland County, New York. We have had GRC Mechanical System at our house for both replacement of older systems and maintenance of our existing systems. Their work is the best quality. The installation of new systems was done quickly and professionally. Their workmen are courteous, diligent and took care to clean up each day before they went home.
All employees shall receive full HMO Medical benefits, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, prescription card, eight paid holidays, sick days, vacation, retirement plan, uniforms. Installation personnel are responsible for performing the tasks of the ductwork, plumbing, rigging, and controls when installing HVAC&R equipment for GRC Mechanical Services.

We had to replace all our major home appliances, Gas Furnace, AC, and Water Heater due to flooding caused by Hurricane Ida. After scheduling for an estimate, I had a proposal with two options within a week. Salesperson followed up with phone calls to see if I had any questions or concerns. Their financing options (60-months, 0% interest) played a key role in making our decision since insurance company was not responsive and we could not wait any longer.
After getting the approval for financing and accepting their proposal, installation took place within 3-4 days, which was a great relief for us (PSE&G would have taken additional 3 weeks to schedule). Technicians were very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous throughout the two days installation period. All our questions were answered and concerns addressed to our satisfaction.
They have tested the system thoroughly after the installation, and make sure everything is in good working order before leaving. We couldn't be any happier with the quality of the products and professional workmanship delivered by GRC Mechanical Services.

When we bought a three-bedroom house, we were told the previous owners had considered central air conditioning but didn't want to spend $35K. We did get a proposal from another company, specifying one unit in the basement and one in the attic to cool the first and second floors respectively. Since we didn't want holes in our hardwood floors, there would have to be extensive ductwork in the first floor walls.
The price was $35,550. We then realized that the compressors and heat exchangers were manufactured not by Carrier, Lennox, or Trane, but by the HVAC installer itself. We weren't about to spend $35K on a "house brand". Tim from GRC pointed out that we only needed a single unit in the attic. Ductwork could be run through closets to cool the first floor from vents in the ceiling.
Only one small section of wall on the second floor would have to be opened and repaired. Total price for top-of-the-line Carrier variable-speed equipment: $23,020. The installation was as prompt and unobtrusive as we could have wished. Our A/C is so quiet only the cool air and the thermostat let us know it's on. We subsequently used GRC to install a gas-powered generator. Needless to say, we have recommended GRC to all who have asked.

We are in the process of selling a mixed-use building in Glen Rock and needed minor HVAC work completed per the inspection report. GRC Mechanical Services was very responsive and the fact our job was so small wasn't a problem. They arrived on time and completed the work, complete with pictures that we can submit to the inspector. I highly recommend this business.

GRC replaced HVAC system. Completely satisfied from the initial estimate contact thru the completed job. I'm very hands on and picky in regards home repairs. GRC came over to my house on one of the hottest days of the year when my air conditioner failed to work. They told me what was wrong and was very knowledgeable. Showed me different new air condition units and how they would improve the quality of air flow through the house. I chose one and they were back within a day and installed the new unit. Did a nice clean job. The staff was courteous and helpful.

I solicited 3 bids to replace my 20 year old AC and heating system. I selected GRC Mechanical for the follow reasons: 1) Tim, the sales rep, provided a detailed bid for different equipment options and price levels. He explained the work to be done and the permits required. As I continued my research into various manufacturers, and even before my final selection was made, I reached out to him several times with follow-up questions. Tim was always quick to respond to my emails and phone calls. (Neither of the other 2 vendors followed up, even once.) 2) Each company provided a somewhat different estimate with respect to equipment and costs.
While the warranty for parts is standard from the manufacturer, each vendor provided a slightly different warranty coverage period for labor. GRC's labor warranty was 5 years which meant I did not have to worry about repair costs for years 2 through 5. When I factored in the cost of not having to maintain a service contract for these additional 4 years, GRC's bid was both competitive and attractive. 3) GRC Mechanical's excellent customer reviews compared to others.
The team did an excellent job installing the AC and heating systems and the final testing to ensure everything was working perfectly. My wife and I appreciate the great job everyone did during the installation. The installers were neat, clean and well organized. They quickly addressed any issues that surfaced during the installation. We've had the system for almost 2 months, including 2 of the hottest months on record. The AC runs quietly and efficiently. We're happy we selected Carrier products and GRC Mechanical for the installation.

The folks at GRC Mechanical Services are an awesome team. From the estimate to the instillation five star service. The installers did an amazing job keeping everything neat the job was professional and the quality of the work was amazing. John and his entire team at GRC have been taking great care of us since last summer. They installed a split system in areas where the central does not reach and replaced the central system. We shopped around and felt most comfortable with GRC because of their overall expertise and professionalism. They also offer very fair prices. HVAC equipment is costly, and that sometimes comes as a surprise to people, but like I said, we shopped around.
The technicians who installed and serviced the systems have all been great. They really know what they are doing and are meticulous about making sure everything lines up and runs and looks right. As a bonus, they are polite, careful, and clean up after the jobs. They show up on time, there are no surprises, and their work has been met with actual compliments from the plumbing inspector.
