So far, they get zero stars. They picked up the cabinet to repair and said they would be back in a week. Two and a half weeks later, they have no idea at all when they will finish it. If they want a good rating they need to do the work.

WORST REPAIR JOB EVER! He was supposed to professionally repair the water damage done to this antique cradle (happened in a house flood), fill in and sand all of the cracks and paint it white. For the ridiculous price of $546 I was expecting a brand new piece of furniture and I got this piece of junk back! It breaks my heart! This was a family antique, passed down from generations.

It honestly looks like he didn't repair anything and this was his first attempt at spray painting furniture in his life. I could have done this myself for $40 bucks with a couple of spray paint bottles. He's a crook! He took our money and destroyed this precious piece of furniture. I am just sick about it. And when I pointed out the flaws and asked for a discount he flat out said no. Unbelievable. Do not use him!

I called to see if they could fix a metal table that broke and though they normally deal with wood, Tom said to text him some pictures. He called to tell me that he could do it and to bring it in. I went there assuming I would be dropping it off but not only did he fix it while I waited, he didn't charge me! Should I ever need furniture repaired, Tom will be my first and only call.

I had an old oak dining table that Tom refinished for us. I texted him pics and measurements and he was able to price the job. He worked with us trying to find the right color stain, as I did not want the orange/yellow showing through. He's takes great pride in his work, and is a truly a perfectionist. He was a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend Tom.

Tom re-finished our Teak shaker chairs and they came out wonderfully! So when I needed two tables re-finished, I knew exactly who to call. Excellent, professional work with fair pricing. And, you get friendly service as well. nice man. Would highly recommend!

I called to see if I could get someone to come out and give me a quote. The owner was a complete jerk. I was asking questions to get clarifications on things he would be charging me for. I didn't like me trying to understand what he meant. He started yelling at me, told me to choose someone else and hung up. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THEM!

Dale at Furniture Medic used to be a decent guy I have used him a few times in the past with no problems. However I just used him and he replaced the motor on my adjustable frame mattress and then there was a problem. After he left I went to use the massage function and the part near the head didn't work. I called him and he seemed to know all about how it wasn't going to work.

He was extremely rude and short with me on the phone he told me the part was bent and I needed a new part. It was confusing to me and I tried to clarify what was wrong on the phone he was rude and told I just wasn't listening and he hung up on me. I called the company that makes the parts and explained everything. They told me the parts don't get bent on their own and it's obviously something he did and they sent me free replacement parts and instructions on how to install it myself. I will NEVER use Dale again or furniture medic again I suggest you don't either. He doesn't let you get a word in on the phone.

Dale Martinez, the Owner of Furniture Medic by Dale in Orem is THE BEST. Dale is great at repairing fine furniture and pretty much any woodworking or furniture repair project. He is polite, honest and charges fair and reasonable prices and is very reliable. I have used Dale for many years to repair my Old Hickory and other fine furniture and wood related repairs at my place at Sundance.

He goes above and beyond to do his amazing furniture repair and woodwork magic. Hire him and you won't be disappointed. Dale's great! Spoiler Alert: I'm a former corporate attorney who used to structure deals for a Fortune 500 Company.so this is a long detailed Yelp Review. I just wanted to set the record straight on Yelp for Furniture Medic by Dale.

My gut is that most of his many highly satisfied clients, unlike me, are older folks who generally don't write Yelp Reviews. I actually don't write Yelp Reviews but felt the need to help Dale out and write this Yelp Review to combat the Ridiculous Trashtalk Yelp Reviews. Like many other artisans and craftsmen, Dale is out working and making a living and is not the most Internet savvy guy.so this one's for you, Dale! Dale most recently repaired an expensive rustic twig branch headboard at my Sundance vacation home.

The guy actually climbed down a ravine to get matching branches to replace the branches that a guest tore out (hopefully in the throes of passion) which left a large hole in the intricate design of the headboard.the repair was fantastic and you can't even notice the repair even up close and it looks just like new. Over the years, Dale has done the gamut of repair work for me from simple repairs like fixing cabinet doors and fixtures and my sofa sleeper bed to more complex repairs like fixing my broken wooden deck rails from falling snow damage off the roof and the woven seats of my Old Hickory chairs and climbing down a ravine to get those branches to fix my headboard. He's an artisan and a skilled wood worker who charges fair and honest Utah prices, even to a girl from NYC and NoCal.

There is a reason why Sundance Resort and a lot of the other high end 4 and 5 Star Resorts and homeowners around Utah County, Park City, Deer Valley and Salt Lake City use Dale for furniture repair. Pure and simple, Dale is honest and reliable, does great repair work, is highly skilled, keeps his word on what he can and can't do, is very polite like almost everyone in Utah County (which is why I love Utah) and charges fairly and honestly. Utah's a great place but as an outsider, my experience has been that when you have work done remotely in Utah especially calling from NYC or NoCal Silicon Valley, the Utah service provider either: 1) like Dale does excellent work and charges fairly and honestly or 2) unlike Dale thinks Sucker from NYC, then does at best middling work and charges you an arm and a leg amount which is often greater than what one would pay in NYC or NoCal Silicon Valley (.believe me, I've experienced that as well.eg Shoutdown to the tile guy who installed fake travertine tiles at my place (which was probably leftover stuff from another job) and charged me over $2500 for a 3'x4' area that should have been less than $1000 for everything).

If you need an honest, thoughtful REAL REFERENCE for Dale and Furniture Medic by Dale in Orem, feel free to contact Dale and ask him for the contact information of the girl from NYC and NoCal with the mountain home at Sundance for a legitimate reference. It would be my pleasure to give Dale a Great Reference. Ignore the 3 Unwarranted 1 Star Yelp Reviews (2 by the Same Person!) Unfairly Trying to Trash Dale and Furniture Medic by Dale on Yelp.ie Shoutdown to: 1) Dee D. of El Sobrante, CA.wherever the heck that is (aka Diane D. of Item 3) below. Looking at Dee D./Diane D.'s other Yelp Reviews, almost 1/2 are Negative Yelp Reviews, the majority being 1 Star Reviews trashing the Vendor for not bending over backwards and scraping and bowing to her and giving her more than her money's worth for ridiculous asks whereas her High Star Reviews are for Cheap Restaurants that served very large portions and Vendors that acquiesced to her complaining and demands and pretty much gave her stuff for free and most likely lost money on her.

Come on Dee, Vendors have a right to make a living and deserve to make a fair profit and to be paid fairly for their efforts). 2) Leya P. of Atlantic Beach, FL (in my opinion was probably upset that Dale honestly reported to the Vendor the extent of the actual damage and repair rather than her desired dishonest account. Leya P. states that she has only written just 1 Bad Yelp Review implying that she's written many other Yelp Reviews but her Vindictive Yelp Review to Trash Dale is her ONLY EVER Yelp Review). 3) Diane D. of San Pablo CA appears to be the same person as Dee D. of Item 1) above, submitting another 1 Star Yelp Review to decrease the overall Star Rating of Dale. An Evil Wench!

Recently I bough some pub chairs that fell apart and the furniture company wouldn't do anything for me because the warranty expired. I called Tom he and his son did an awesome repair job I would definitely use him again if the need arises prices are reasonable as well. Thanks Tom!

We received a damaged piece of furniture (it was damaged upon receipt). The vendor sent Dale from Furniture Medic out to fix the furniture. He was able to fix it 70 to 80%. He gave us a report, which wa fine. However, he wrote a different report to the vendor, which was inaccurate. I called to discuss the discrepancy with the Tech from Furniture Medic.

He got very defensive and called me a liar. The furniture was literally damage when it arrived and Furniture Medic is claiming that we caused the damage. The tech was the rudest person that I have ever spoken to. Set aside the discrepancy in the reports, he is the most rude person that I have ever dealt with. I have never written a 1 star review.

Originally contracted Dale to work on a repair based in Salt Lake City. I've worked with a number of installers in my line of business and this was the most inconsiderate, rude and obnoxious person I have ever dealt with, with my 8 years working around installation / repair projects. I would NOT recommend Dale for any future projects based on the lack of communication, aggressive language and his personal decision to hold projects behind schedule without informing the person who contracted him.

I understand this is a franchise so my review is only based on Dale's customer service level. At this moment, Furniture Medic is on the bottom of my choices of vendors to support any future projects that may need additional support outside of my immediate network. He expressed that there were issues, but never notified us of his concerns or hurdles so we could work on resolving while staying on time.

All of this came out the day I finally got a hold of him. He basically ignored all emails until I was able to get his direct number since his signature via email does not include his contact info. If you need someone reliable, Dale is NOT the best choice to move forward with. I would recommend calling other furniture repair vendors. Even if Dale's quote is less, meeting due dates plus having someone responsive on the other end is A LOT MORE valuable compared to someone ignoring emails and then trashing your company/project - it's not worth the small cost savings and time. So save yourself some time and skip on to the next repair/technician that values their customer relationship. Or work with someone other than Dale.

We moved here last year, and the movers smashed my dryer and broke the control panel. The moving company hired Furniture Medic to do the repair. It took a little longer than I would like, but I suspect that had something to do with the moving company as they were not on top of things at all. Furniture Medic was professional, accurately diagnosed the problem and got it running in two visits. Overall a good experience.
