My refrigerator has been down almost a year now. It's still not fixed. They cane out in April and said they had to order another part. They say it's getting parts. They have had my parts for about 2 mths and can not get anyone out here till July 1 st. I asked about getting a different refrigerator they had to talk to someone to see if they could do that.

In my service contract that I bought I'm supposed to get a loaner till they could get mine fixed or replaced and they are supposed to cover the food that went bad. NONE OF THAT HAS HAPPENED. They want to give me a lower end refrigerator to replace mine or do to inflation pay $3,000 more for a different refrigerator with no ice maker, not a smart refrigerator.

A new one would also be a lot smaller then the one I have. If I could give 0 stars I would. I will never ever deal with them again even if they are the only appliance store in town I will do without before ever dealing with them again.

This review isn't for the sales department, but for the incompetent warehouse. We got ALL new appliances in our new home. We paid the extra $1200 in warranties to cover all kitchen and laundry room appliances. First, we ordered our washer and dryer in March 2021 and asked them to hold until our house was ready and closed. They delivered just the dryer to the builder and never told us. Fortunately, the builder did tell our realtor and took a picture of the damage from them delivering.

We reached out to Ben in sales and he apologized and ordered a replacement panel. This was May 2021 and our matching washing machine was being held, so they said. When it came time to have our washing machine delivered in July 2021, it was lost. Ben was able to get us a scratch and dent machine to borrow, which was appreciated and also disappointing.

We received a call that the washer was found! They delivered it in September 2021.also dented. We contacted Ben to let him know and to check the status of our dryer panel, he contacted the warehouse and they didn't show an order. At that point, we were 6 months in since ordering and paying thousands in new appliances, just to end up with both of them damaged. Fortunately, they work but we paid for new.

We have received calls at least 5 times to schedule install because our parts were in. All 5 appointments scheduled by Fred's were canceled the day before BY Fred's. The first one, somebody ran over the panels, the 2nd time the parts weren't really in, the 3rd was damaged again, 4th they didn't come in and the most recent was they don't have 2 techs to install and pushed us out another month, June 2022.

We're looking at MAYBE getting these installed 10 months after receiving the first damaged delivery and 16 months since ordering. We went with Fred's because they seemed customer service oriented and reliable. We were hoping to be repeat customers, but we're thinking Best Buy will be a better choice for future purchases. Just to be sure I'm clear, Ben in sales has been wonderful. The warehouse crew is a joke and service is poorly managed.

Spend thousands for a nice GE refrigerator only to find out GE water filters have a chip in them and at 6 months the warning light comes on, went to order a filter and ordered the ones without a chip (3 for 35.00). They didn't work, so ordered the correct one, 50 dollars every six months. Would have been nice if Fred's would have warned us.

So now stuck with a refrigerator that you pay 100 bucks a year for filtered water. They have a bypass plug but then not filtered. Nice Freds, next time we'll know better, all they worried about was the sale.

Fred's ding and dent center has always been a great local store for deals. We have purchased several appliances there over multiple decades. When we splurged and bought a new higher end set (Cafe Series) we were sure to get the warranty. Unfortunately the range and dishwasher both ended up with warranty issues and we are in our 4th month of waiting for our claim to be addressed. We have been told we are in line for service, but didn't expect this to take so many months.

This is one of the rare cases where I wish I could give negative stars. Dryers heating element went out 2 months after installation. That's fine. It happens. I call, they say they need to order parts. We live in a time where packages arrive same week. They say won't take long at all. 3 weeks go by, I call again. Still on back order. Another 3 weeks go by, still on back order.

I call once a week for another month. That brings us to today. I call. Oh ya the parts came in 3 days ago. Why did no one call me? They said they would call? Whatever. I am just happy it finally came in. I go to set up a repair, they cant come out for over a month. I asked several times for a replacement dryer. Everytime I got "oh ya we will have someone call you back about that today." Not once did I ever get a call back. Worst customer service experience I have ever had.

Worst customer service experience of my life. We ordered a $35,000 Thermador Appliance package last March (2021). It is now February 2022. We still have not received our microwave. We have a huge "hole" in our remodeled kitchen where it's supposed to go AND our freezer column has never made ice. We have called countless times, our contractor has called countless times.

The customer service department has been out 4 times and "fixed" the ice maker twice but it has never worked. They don't return calls, they don't show up for appointments, they make things up over the phone. I would give Fred's, Thermodor and everyone in the repair department zero stars if I could. No ONE cares. Every time I call about the microwave they, on cue, from their script give me a date further out than the last time we spoke. No one follows up, no one follows through.

Horrible customer service. If I could give negative stars I would. We remodeled our house in 2018 and bought all of our appliances from Fred's to support local business. We bought the extended warranty. Our commercial grade oven quit working December 22 and they couldn't get a repair guy out until January 28. Now they just rescheduled to March 18.

Same for our washing machine that went out at the same time. We have kids and this rate won't be able to use our stove and washing machine for 4 months. Managers haven't called us back. It's been a nightmare.

Tried working through a big box store for a gas cooktop to replace a 1950's era electric cooktop but couldn't get it ordered. Went by Fred's on Monroe and found several alternatives in stock. Devin, the sales specialist that worked with us, was very good at helping us find the right balance between features and cost. No pressure and very friendly.

We will definitely consider Fred's Appliance as an appliance source in the future. Fred's was also good at getting us in contact with the installers, J&J Plumbing and J&J Electrical, a good team who arrived early to install the cooktop. (And swap out a faucet that needed swapped out.) Now we're just waiting for the county inspectors to come by. Once that happens, we'll be cooking with gas.

Definitely wish I would have read the reviews before we purchased from Fred's. Bought a brand new dishwasher 2 months and it has NEVER worked! We are still waiting for someone to come out and fix it. Not impressed with their customer service at all. I would highly recommend going else where.

Badly mistreated by Fred's warehouse! They withheld the delivery of our new dryer ( which was on hand), so they could deliver the washer at the same time, saving them money. Understandable, except when the washer is repeatedly delayed and leaving us without a functioning dryer for 22 days ( and counting). With our dryer just sitting in the warehouse! Fred's has good salesmen with good product knowledge, but that is all. The warehouse runs roughshod over the customers once the sale is made. I will not be a returning customer.

I have purchased two upright freezers, two dishwashers, a washer and a dryer and now a kitchen oven. Fred's is always the best price, they sell you what you want and do not try to upsell you into something you do not need. They don't stock shelves with items they know nothing about and then run and hide when you ask a question. They start out assuming you will want the item delivered ( at no extra charge ) and then seem disappointed when you tell them you are going to pick it up yourself.

Then they tell you to bring your old one with and they will dispose of it at no charge. They do their best to sell you the extended warranty even if you are a short-sighted cheapskate like me but when your answer is no they don't punish you for it. Buy your plywood, lumber and boxes of nails at the chain store yahoos but get your appliances here. I don't know how they had appliances during the Covid vacation but they did. Great outfit. They should teach classes at the business school.

We purchased a GE dryer about 3.5 months ago. the drum sheared off inside of the frame. the backing plate came off and the whole back the drum now has paint removed everywhere. we called GE for warranty and it looks like at a minimum of a week to get someone out on warranty. Called Fred's to get help and they basically said deal with the warranty through GE. so much for buying and supporting a local business. well I called the corporate office and it is not any better. they told me I would not be able to get any assistance or a technician until January. that is a month out.

I asked about replacement or a loaner and I got we would have to go through GE. The Lady who I was talking to me hung up after I told her that is very poor customer support. They have zero customer service. 1800 dollars spent on a washer and dryer with no customer support. never buy from Freds. Hopefully GE will get this fixed. update we got a repair tech out through the warranty with GE. 12/13/2021 6 days after the failure. The entire drum assembly needs replaced. the part is on backorder. we are still waiting on final confirmation of how long it we be until we can dry clothes again.

I have purchased 2 fridges, a washer and dryer with pedestals, wine cooler, and gas stove here in the last 3 months. I have yet to receive most items. I was told they'd be here by thanksgiving. I was told we will deliver it when it comes in. However, I learned today that the wine cooler is there--- but no delivery agreement is in place because the sales guy didn't do his damn job.

I hate how no one takes responsibility. No one works on the same team to meet needs of customers. I am told sorry I'm not your sales rep, call back. I get better service at Home Depot.

We were going to get a fridge from Costco and decided to look at Fred's first. They said they could get us the same fridge for the same price but it would have to be ordered. We decided on a bigger fridge that they had "in stock". We discussed the width of out walkway with the salesman and he said it was no problem they would just have to take off the doors.

We waited 2 weeks for delivery of an "in stock" fridge and when they got here the guy says he doesn't know how to take the doors off. So they can't deliver it and that they will be back the next day (Friday) or Saturday to deliver. We called Friday and we're told someone would call back. No one does so we call back and they can't do anything cause it is after 5 p.m.

We called again today (Saturday) were told again someone would call us back. I am writing this review at 4:30 p.m. and have not been called back and have no idea when we are supposed to be getting this fridge. I believe we will be going to Costco or some other big box store like home depot. Fred's has no customer service whatsoever. Oh yeah and we are like 2 blocks from the store. I recommend going elsewhere for any appliance.

We ordered a microwave in kit and none of it fit our kitchen the salesman didn't measure it correctly they wouldn't take any information or appliance back not even if we paid the restocking fee. Terrible service will never go back to F

I'm so sorry to say maybe Fred's is going to go out of business. Just waiting on hold for about 15 minutes to try to schedule an appt to repair my 2 y/o Bosch microwave that cost $500 is sobering. So while on hold I decide to look at the Yelp reviews. I think the days of your neighborhood appliance store or neighborhood anything are over.

Do your self a favor and avoid buying from this place! Customer service is no where near professional. it started with them telling us the price day one. Then changing the price the day we came to order the fridge. After ordering fridge being told fridge would be shipped from another location in one week. then would be delivered to our home on date of closing We paid for delivery As time got closer to closing date we had not heard back from anyone about our purchase. we called to make sure the fridge was received to the store and would be delivered on time.

Only to be told they never received it and couldn't find it. We dealt with this for a week and then the day before we moved in they find the fridge. apparently it was sitting in their local warehouse the whole time. then It was a cluster just trying to get it delivered. A lot of promises broken and finger pointing. fast forward two month later freezer goes out, then fridge goes out. we call and again get the run around for two weeks and they told us to use a cooler to store our food Until they could get someone out to look at the fridge 17 days later they finally make it out to look at the friedge the compressor went bad and they can't replace it for another week.

Talk to a manager to see about a loaner he told us he would get us a loaner But we would have to pick it up cuz their trucks hydraulics are all broke. So we go into get the loaner and nobody knows what we are talking about or has a clue what's going on. once that is sorted out they can't find the loaner. save your self the headache and go somewhere else! Sorry the Review is so long I don't normally leave bad reviews.

Recently had to buy appliances for a house that we own. We were told that the refrigerator was in stock but we would have to wait 2 weeks to have it delivered. The rest of the items would be delayed due to Covid. Two days before our scheduled date for the refrigerator, we went in to confirm and were told that they would call between 8 and 9 to tell us what time they would be there.

When they didn't call, we went down there and were told we were not on the schedule. After leaning on them a bit, we were able to get the refrigerator delivered at 7pm that night. After week 4, we went to check on the rest of the appliances and hey look, they are here. We don't believe that they would have called us at all but then, another two weeks to get scheduled.

When it came time for that delivery, again they said we were on the list and they would call between 8 and 9 am. When they again didn't call, we went down there to find out that once again, we were not on the list. This time they were able to get it to us right away. And then they said, that for two of the items, they contract out to another company to install and that they, the other company would be calling. Again, no phone call.

We went back in to Fred's today and they worked on it and gave us a time for installation five days from now. We will see how that works. It is a wonderful company to deal with until after you write the check. Then their service is crappy. $6000 worth of appliances and next time we will go anywhere else. Including Lowes and Home Depot.

We recently purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator at Fred's Appliances. It's a $2k piece of junk and Fred's service sucks! When we called for service not more than a month from the purchase date it is freezing everything in the refrigerator and the ice cream in the freezer is like soft serve. The ice and water dispenser is a floor nightmare.

It shoots ice cubes and sprayed water everywhere. When the Fred's repairmen came out after their error in our appointment being made they entered our home wearing no masks for Covid safety. When we complained today after notifying the repair center no one has called us back as the repairman said he would, we want to know what's happening with the compressor repair to our unit, the phone rep sat in silence when confronted about the service men wearing masks.

She said they would be messaged to wear them. When my husbands response was, "They should be wearing masks in every home they enter." Again, silence. So here's some volume for you FRED'S! YOU SUCK! SORRY I BOUGHT A REFRIGERATOR FROM YOU. IT WILL BE LAST APPLIANCE YOU SELL ME!

Bought a washer and dryer here. Everything was fine until my dryer started acting up. Out of warranty. They sent a service tech out. Charged $250 to "fix" it. Immediately doing same thing on next load. Called them. They can send the guy out to change some parts for an additional $300. Tech has a pretty good idea what is wrong now. $550 to fix my dryer.

I bought a new one from another retailer for $599. $250 lesson to not use their service department. Never again. They didn't even offer any adjustment on the $250 charge to not fix it the first time. Screw them.

Buy your appliances ANYWHERE but here, they sorely lack in customer service. Leaving messages about a problem is not responded to and the manager is always "conveniently" not available. No reflection on the sales person or delivery guys. And they are unwilling to comp you for the extra time it took to reorder a damaged item.

I purchased a fridge 3 months ago.delivery was great. Last week the refrgeration began making noise.and now just runs and doesn't shut down.called service, on hold for twenty minutes, then was disconnected.4 days later i called and was told service would not be for another month.i asked why they didn't respond to my on line service request and was told, 'they just didn't get to it yet'.then i was told that i actually needed to call the manufacturer to schedule service.i asked to speak to a manager, and was told that she would send him an email.by the time i knew i wasn't going to get anywhere. now 35 minutes later i'm still on hold with the manufacturer to see if i can get approval to get service. this refrigerator is only 3 months old.their extended service contract states that fred's appliance will handle the scheduling of a service. i guess i'm going to need to go into the store and be face to face with someone.absolutely no customer service, no concern after they drop off the appliance.now it's been 40 minutes on hold.just getting angrier and angrier

Scammers of the elderly! Do not do business with these crooks. Elder mom went in to get small apartment/ mother in law suite sized appliances. They sold her all large size appliances. When we found out I called the manager. Who then called my mom and told her he would make it right. So my husband and I packed up the to large appliances-and returned them on a Saturday.

We were given a return slip and told they couldn't process the return till Monday.?!?!? I called several time Monday morning only to be told the manager was in a meeting. When the manager called me back late Monday afternoon. The refund amount changed to 200$ less. The reason for the 200$ was now the manager wanted a restocking fee. I was given an ultimatum I could except the 200$ restock fee or I could come and pick up the returned appliances.

Where to begin! I went in to shop for a new dishwasher and was greeted with a friendly sales person Bang. That's the only good thing about this review. I found a Bosch dishwasher I liked paid for it, and was told that delivery people would call within 2 days. Two weeks later no calls from anyone. My son called to see if he could get answers on why there was a problem, Bang literally lied to him saying he's tried calling several times and I didn't answer!

So we're on the phone now why can't we schedule. oh we don't do that here, we contract that out. So why would you call my mom? Dead silence. Because they didn't. Well she doesn't want the dishwasher anymore and wants a refund on her credit card. Response- we can't do that today I'll have to call your mom Monday. guess what never happened. I just disputed the charge with the credit card company instead. Don't shop here. besides the delivery fee was a couple hundred dollars and HD is free.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We have owned our Kitchenaid oven for 3 months. During that time it has broken 3 times. We are currently under a stay at home order due to COVID-19 and we have been without an oven for over 2 weeks! They have come out twice, and twice the part broke. Every time they say it will be another week before the part comes in and they can install it (with no guarantee it works).

They are unwilling to provide a replacement (even temporarily) to allow us to be able to cook using an oven. They have said that everything is up to the manufacturer. For a company that claims to care about the customer (at least according to their commercials) and at a time when we are all stuck at home, the lack of consideration and understanding, or even a hint of trying to do the right thing to help is appalling!

I have had a terrible experience with service! Fred's LOVES to sell you appliance but if you need any help on the back end, they are awful. Look elsewhere for your purchases. Specifically: Coeur D'Alene Fred's.

I would suggest avoiding Fred's. We have now purchased 2 appliances and delivery and customer service has been an issue both time. The first one (fridge) took several weeks to show up (~2 months). After about a month Fred's did not take any initiative to call us with anything like a status and when I called I think I had to remind them I was still waiting.

The second time it was a freezer. The item showed up at our house badly dinged up. We refused the delivery and delivery guy said they would call us the next day with a status. No call. I called 2 days later for a status. They said they would call me the next day. No call I called 2 days later for a status. They said they would call right back. 2 hours later.no call So I when into the store. They say it will be delivered in 2 days. We will see.

We bought our fridge from them a year ago and I was actually amazed at the service they provided. They matched the price and worked with us to get a better deal. 5 stars for that! However, a year later our fridge goes out and we call them to come look at it, they got someone out fast and he looked at it said it was the compressor and he needs to order it, might take 5-7 days. Ok. that's a understandable. TWO WEEKS LATER I call and ask if they have forgotten about us, cause hello he have no fridge!

Someone gets on the phone with me and says they have the part in and they can come out the FOLLOWING week, it's a 3 hour job and all their techs are busy this week. That Monday we wake up and get a lovely call from the tech that was suppose to come, that actually the part WASN'T in stock and he doesn't have it and can't come to fix it!

We were just in shock! We're going on week 3 of no fridge in the house. So I call the service department, get someone on the phone named Krystal and I tried real hard not to blow up but I did and she was really nice, seemed to be confused herself on what's going on, said she'll call me back with some solutions. She did call back and had the store bring us a loaner fridge and take our old fridge out while they're waiting for the part and fixing it.

Well it's been week 5 (at least now we have a working fridge in the house even though it's not ours) and I just called them asking what's going on, did they forget about us? Will we ever see our old fridge again? They promised to get someone out to us soon to swap them back. but at this point I'm not holding my breath honestly. it was faster for them to get us a NEW fridge then to play these games.

I don't even know what star to give them, cause customer service at the store was good, but up until I got to speak to Krystal everyone else from the service dept was rude. and they work slower than slow to get stuff done!

We bought from here on 2 separate occasions. First was a washer and dryer that was delivered next day and installed professionally by the delivery drivers, they were quick and polite. Second was an oven that we bought and they put in, they took the old one out told us it was installed wrong and made sure this one was put in correctly. We've had no problems with anything from these guys and would shop here again with no worries.
