Environmental Solutions We combine environmental and building science to determine not just if you have a problem, but why. We then develop a plan of action to instruct all parties involved on what to do and what not to do. This ensures all issues are properly addressed. ESI has the leading indoor environmental inspectors in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Realtors, property managers, and insurance companies consistently choose ESI because our commitment to excellence is the best in the industry.

When ESI inspects your property, everything is documented and photographed to assist in determining a prioritized plan of action for resolving existing problems and preventing future challenges.

Vinny founded ESI in 2002. In the past, he owned and operated a landscape construction company that provided storm water management controls for both residential and commercial property. In doing so, he consulted with management companies and developers on proactive solutions to water intrusion issues.
When ESI inspects your property, everything is documented and photographed to assist in determining a prioritized plan of action for resolving existing problems and preventing future challenges. We conduct a thorough interview regarding health concerns of occupants as needed before we inspect the interior and exterior of the property.
LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is transforming the way we think about our indoor environments- where many people spend over 90% of their time. LEED provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance designs.
Have you had a contract put on hold or fall through because of mold or environmental issues? ESI works with realtors and their clients to ensure a smooth transition for the buyer and seller during their real estate transactions. Very expensive. I literally waisted hundreds of dollars. Maxi gave good advice ( but it wasn't 100 per cent correct) Also, what was worse, he was hired to take a sample off of some papers. He didnt find anything; apparently he could only use one piece of tape for each 175 dollar testing. Not soon after; a renowned mold company most certainly did find mold when they cleaned the same papers. Environmental Solutions are friendly, but I wish I never hired them.

We used ESI to inspect a newly purchased house. They were professional, gave us advice on remediation, and returned results promptly. We'd work with them again!

I work in the restoration industry, and have dealt with many Industrial Hygiene Companies in the DMV area. I can hands down say that ESI is THE best one, for many reasons. It's a family owned business with a high level of expertise, impeccable integrity you can easily tell how much they care, from their excellent communication to exceptional customer service. I would never use anyone else.

Really great family owned company. I am a Property Manager for an apartment community and I have used ESI twice. They are professional and a pleasure to work with. I've always received my reports in a timely fashion and they answered any follow-up questions I had. Definitely recommend.

This company is terrible. They told us we didn't have mold and then the floor boards fell off and were covered in black mold. Been sick for months and he told me it was just "allergies." Filing a complaint with the better business bureau. Very unethical.

Most unethical company ever. They tested our bathroom for mold, and would not release the results to us, even after they had been paid, and acknowledged that the results were ready. They provided the results to our insurance company, but withheld them from us, the property owners. If dangerous mold were found in a home, wouldn't it be advisable that the first person to be informed would be the occupant? They had the results for weeks, and never said a word to us. Terrible.
