The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, of course my gas fireplace was obsolete and no parts were available. Kirt and his staff were able to find parts that were compatible and got us up running, and it works great. They saved us a lot of money not having to replace the entire unit, and we had our fireplace running before it got too cold. We will call them with any other issues with our fireplace.

I have always recommended Dusty Brothers to my clients and that is now over. I hired them to clean and inspect a chimney and didn't find out until 4 days after the appt that they did not do so, claiming they could not access the chimney due to powerlines when there are multiple access points to the roof proven by the contractors also hired to replace the dormer windows who did so with no problem.
Instead of calling and telling me they were unable to perform the service, my client had to tell me and I had to call them. I was told that I was left a note at the property explaining why they did not do their job which is highly unprofessional and completely unacceptable. I visited the property after receiving this information only to find that there was in fact no note. This is no way to conduct business. You do your job and if you can't, you pick up the phone and you make a call. That is the professional thing to do.

My wife scheduled service with Dusty Brothers because of a mailer discount coupon. They came out and inspected, said chimney wasn't dirty, just cobwebs. Recommended a steel plate for back of fireplace which I turned down. Then was given a bill for $159.00 inspection fee which I think is way too high for no more than they did. I had 3 or 4 roofing companies inspect my roof a couple years ago for estimates and NONE of them charged me a cent before I picked one. I see in a hidden Yelp review that they had the same complaint against Dusty Brothers but they were charged $200.00! I guess I got off a little light because of the coupon.

Dusty Brothers is a family run, old school operation that just gets it done. If you're looking for glitzy showrooms and slick sales pitches you may be disappointed, but if you want quality work done in a timely manner you probably can't go wrong. Brad and Scott converted our fireplace to gas, and it looks great. They even came back (late on a Friday, no less) when we had a minor glitch, to sort things out and make sure everything was safe. So highly recommended!

March 2018, Great customer service, easy appointment setting, on time show-up. But, in past years they moved the dryer and did a great job of cleaning our dryer's vent pipe that has two 90 degree bends, 25+ feet. This year the cleaners said no. They do not move the dryer. That they only run the cleaner wire in the vent from the outside of the house.
The result, bad the dryer vent not working. We will have to move out ourselves and attempt to clean or get another company out to clean the vent from behind the dryer. I can bet we will get at least another 2 gallons of lent.
