Both of these shingles have the look and feel of your standard asphalt shingles but are actually coated stamped steel. These shingles will last a lifetime and often quality for multiple insurance discount for impact and fire resistance.
The premium finishes used on today's metal roof products are fluorocarbons- paint resins that are similar in chemical composition to "Teflon, " the popular non-stick coating. The benefits of this type of paint are related to its nonstick characteristics. Chemical bonds like tapes, glues and adhesives, therefore, provide only temporary and unreliable solutions.

The metal is quality, with strict requirements when purchased for resale. Dry film thickness of paint is kept constant, all ceramic pigments used in paint, substrate is sourced from only trusted mills, rollformers are well maintained, and it is rare indeed for your cut to length metal to not meet specifications. Also, it isn't often you find a place where you can get a quality building bought and built in less than 2-3 weeks. Faster if it is a slow season.

The prices are outrageous anymore, the metal itself is good and customer service is great but who can afford to pay that much

DEAR RUDE MARV! The worst sales/information person EVER. My husband and I were referred to DC metals, because a couple of other people set go talk to DC metal. My husband and I are interested in building a barndominium with a 4 car and a high door for a motorhome. We took a 2 hour Drive 2 DC metal. We get there we look around finally a gentleman says have you folks been helped.

So my husband barely into his conversation I was telling him basically we want two buildings connected this guy says what we don't do Interiors anymore, and Interiors were never even mentioned. My husband starts telling him we're not wanting them to do Interiors, then my husband starts asking him about a metal frame versus a wooden frame oh, this guy could not be bothered.

He was busy looking out the door looking down the aisles not looking directly at all at myself or my husband and were two and a half feet from one another. We got so disgusted. Finally I said look people recommended DC metal for building pole barns is there anyone that we can talk to about this that's knowledgeable he said two names let me go see if they're here and came back and said no they're not here well one is but he has two customers with him.

Then my husband said if I drop something up could they try to give me an estimate or something, he said we have someone that would drawn up but it would cost you $600. Well I'm not an idiot that is for final plans of a building. I am shocked at the treatment we got at DC metal when it came so highly recommended. A complete waste of time. And in case you're wondering the gentleman that supposedly helped us his name is Marv!

Needed my 30x30 Pole barn repaired from Storm in July, 2019. Which DCM Built a few years before. So that's who I Wanted for the repairs. Contacted them for estimate. Told them to call a few minutes before they get their so I can be there to unlock. Didn't Call. Although did go "estimate" the barn. Gave me a total/price. Said I'd be in touch soon. Called them Oct.2019.

Ready for repair! Played phone tag with them up till Feb 2020. For them to won't to Jack the price & said it was my fault for not responding to calls they never made. I've got a answering machine and caller ID! They'll build them. Don't won't to Fix. You do the math.

Had one leak they gauranteed they would fix. Shortly after the job I noticed several new leaks. I called and a guy came and took photos, never heard from them again. Recently called and they gave me a run around. Also specifically asked for insulation & it was in contract, but what I got was bubble wrap

Very unhappy with their service. We dropped off a set of house plans the Friday after Thanksgiving, I called them in January to find out if they had a material list and was told they didn't know who had it that they would find it and call us. A couple of weeks later I called them again and they still didn't know but I talked to a guy named Nathan and told him how unhappy I was about the service there, he said he understood and he would find out who had them and have that person get ahold of us.

I received a call from Kenneth saying he had the plans and he had been busy but he would have the list for me by that Friday. I told him we would like for him to mail the plans to us because we lived over an hour away and he said he could do that. The following week a cylinder arrived at our house and when we opened it all that was in there was the house plans we dropped of, no material list or a letter letting us know what was going on, just the house plans.

I called the following week and talked to Kenneth again and he said he mailed them to us knowing that we were wanting them and that he made a copy of them and would have them done again by Friday. So earlier this week I called and asked to speak with the manager and was put on contact with Phil. I expressed to Phil how unhappy I was because this been over 2 months and we still don't have a material list. Phil told me he would talk to Kenneth and see what was going on and call me within the next day or two.

I called them again on Wednesday February 6th and asked to speak with Phil, the gentleman on the phone said you need to speak with Kenneth and I said no. I want to talk with Phil, more people answered and I said I want to speak with the manager. Phil finally got on and guess what he said? Phil told me he had someone working on the list and that he would email it to me by Friday.

Today is Friday February 8th and still we have heard or received anything from them. I wouldn't recommend their business to anyone. I was looking forward to working to a small business hoping to have a more personal relationship with them. 2/20/19 I would like to add we did receive our estimate on 2/18/19 and today 2/20/19 I received a phone call from Kenneth apologizing for the delay in our estimate. I do accept his apology and I really do forgive him and appreciate that he called.
