Their Sales person (Adam) was professional, and prompt and gave a no nonsense offer that was $600 below their competitors. Their installer (Jeff) was considerate and listened to our concerns and paid attention to detail to the work performed. The installer also worked around weather and scheduling challenges, until the work was completed (for us the work was done in one day - which I liked). No trash was left behind. Would I consider them again for Windows and Siding work: Yes.

I was in need of a good siding contractor but also wanted a good service dept. after install was complete. I found both of those at Cook Siding and window company. Remember with any job there will be hiccups, my first was the company sent wrong color corners with my siding order but within 2 weeks the service team corrected that. My next was my gutter leaked but again that week the service team corrected that issue. Drew Sirry my project mgr., stayed on top of it and kept me informed.

The project went well but remember when choosing a siding contractor get one that has a great back end service dept. You will find that at Cook siding and window. They will definitely do all my future projects! Trust me Drew will take good care of you.

We had a very nice sales man out the beginning of October who provided us with a reasonable estimate to have all of our vinyl siding replaced. In our contract it states the style I selected it also gave us a time line of 10-14 weeks. Week 6 rolls around and I get a text from the sales rep. Of course I am very excited and expecting him to tell me they have the job scheduled. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

I was told the vinyl I chose is no longer available. Ok that's fine they can get the same color just a different style. Not a huge deal. But why after 6 weeks are we just finding out that they can no longer source the material? I reached out to the office the beginning of January I was told we would be on the schedule in 2 weeks. I called again the beginning of February and left a message for scheduling.

I have still not heard back from them. At this point I would think they just abandoned the job since I can not even get a 2 minute phone call to let me know what is going on. I had very high hopes for this project since our first interaction with cook was so great. But after that contract was signed we have just been put on the back burner and ignored.

We also took out extra on our mortgage to have this project done so it hurts a little to be paying so much interest on a job that isn't even done well not even started! I wish I would have read the reviews prior to signing with them. All I ask is for honesty. If they would have told me they don't know when they could start the project or even follow up and say hey it could be 6 months. I would have been happy with that. The bait and switch game is not nice nor professional.

Started this project June 11th. Sales rep came out with in the week. After a couple of months called up be told the original sales rep no longer worked with them as nothing was done and no contact for months. Finally another sales rep was assigned to us and he came out to match the color of the siding. After a couple of weeks they sent out Chris with the material.

He dropped off the material on Thursday and said he would be back early the next morning. He showed up mid day worked for a hour said he would be back on Saturday but did not show up. I called Cook Siding to be told he was working another job and would be back to our house on Thursday. Had to call Cook Siding he had removed siding from one of the gables and left it to the elements.

They sent out two men who worked another gable left when it started raining never to be seen again but did not put siding on the bare gable. Chris showed up on Tuesday and taped the bare gable. He came back on Thursday and finished the gables and chimney. He left with out telling us he was finished leaving pieces of siding on the roof Called and complained about him leaving without a walk around and leaving trash on the roof. They did not seem to care.

Awesome Job! Our Installers, Jacob and Joseph did an awesome job installing our new gutters. They were friendly, courteous and went above and beyond what we expected them to do. We will definitely use Cook Siding and Window for our next project.

We had gutters installed. The response time was great. From getting an estimate to having the work done. This was all done within a month. Very pleased with the work. Everyone was very friendly and were able to answer concerns I had. We are planning on getting more work done through this company in the future. I would definitely recommend this company for you home needs.

I've been siting on this for a few years now. I'm still mad about it. I needed to install two windows in a laundry room. They were odd sizes, and I wanted wood, aluminum clad, so I had CSW come out and quote. They ended up quoting right at $3k for the two custom windows and two cheap ones in my basement. Since they were custom, they said it would take four weeks.

Four weeks the later they show up and start the install. Strangely, the windows were completely disproportionate. The installers were confused and called the office. The office decided they would have to charge me more to frame them in. The installers, to their credit, were very concerned about the discrepancy and suggested maybe I not get them installed.

I got a bad feeling, so I called Lowe's. Turns out these windows were stock, $200 windows! So they waited four weeks to make them seem custom then had the gall to want to charge even more to frame them in. I sat them in my back yard, called them, expressed my displeasure, had them pick them up, and return my check. If I hadn't gotten a bad feeling I would have never known.

These people are immoral. They didn't apologize, admitted the windows were stock windows, and seemed annoyed they were caught. I call them Crook Siding and Windows. Feels more accurate. Buyer beware. Since I can't reply to the owner comment, it was 2014. I believe Josh was the scheduler. The person I talked to was Steve, who appears to still be there. Kyle has since retired I assume.

Here is what I recorded for that day, for posterity: Friday October 10th: 9:55 AM. Waited until Friday then I called and talked to Josh. He stated the windows were the biggest size Plygem made in that model. If we wanted to change we would have to change windows. Told me he could frame in what they had and do the drywall on the interior. 10:27 I called Lowe's in Salem, VA to get a quote for the same window since I knew this was now a standard, non-custom, window. Lowe's came back with a price of $141.21 unprimed and not installed. 10:51 Called Steve and let him know what I had found. Said he would investigate and call me back. 11:31 Steve called and told me he had talked to the owner, Kyle. Kyle stated that there was nothing they could do on the price considering the amount of labor they would have to pay to get the window installed. Steve offered to give me a credit for my deposit minus the vinyl windows I had. Told him they could come pick up the windows and refund the full amount.

He agreed. I asked if he didn't see anything wrong with what had transpired here. "Does this whole ordeal sound OK with your moral compass?" "Well. I'll just let you talk to Kyle. He can explain it better than I can." I asked for Kyle to call me. Also in this conversation Steve informed me that the labor for the two windows would be ~$500 each. His offer of returning ~$250 means the vinyl windows cost me ~$550.

This means they are charging me (Out of $2300) $550 vinyl + $1000 labor + $750 wood windows. So $375 each for two windows that Lowe's sells for $141.21. Note they never gave me an itemized bill. Also worth mentioning is that the labor to "frame in" comes out to be the exact difference that "custom" windows would have cost. Called Steve at 1:39 and told him just to forget it and tell me when they could pick up the windows.

I'm not happy at all with the work of Cooks siding. I was waiting to write a review because I was told I was going to be called a week ago about the problems I had & someone would come out to see me. I haven't received a call or visit so here we go. Cooks destroyed my deck that I just finished painting during demo. Smashed my handrail on my front porch then told me it was like that the day before.

I've called a number of times just to be blown off. I have gaps & waves in my soffits cut down spouts on my lawn nails in my driveway (I have 2 little kids running around outside). Not to mention people just keep showing up at my house unannounced. Poor customer service, poor attention to detail & poor attitude all around in my experience. I would not recommend at all.

On the tightest of deadlines we needed Cook Siding to install siding, new gutters, and shutters. They outperformed and wowed us. All on a tight budget and schedule, they allowed us to get our house listed on time!

We replaced all the windows in our house using Cooks Siding and Windows. Steve Hodges, salesman and all the installers were very knowledgeable, completed the job in a very timely manner and even cleaned my new windows as they installed them! I would highly recommend this company. Great experience!

I strive to be honest and fair with all my business dealings. I take the time to understand the task at hand and what's involved to accomplish it and during the process I verify that no corners are cut and the job is done correctly, professionally, in a timely manner and typically above the expectations of all involved. This is not the case with Cook Siding and Window specifically Jessie Cook.

I discovered after the vinyl siding job on my house was complete that house wrap was left off one side of my house. Not until over 2 months did Jessie finally get his crew out to remove the vinyl siding and install the promised house wrap. No excuse for such lack of professionalism and delay to correct a mistake on their behalf. To top it off he charged me full price!

Been waiting a few months to get my fence repaired. Always the same answer - waiting on parts. It's been 3.5 months. My fence was damaged by the landscapers, who contracted with Cooks to repair it. They started the job but never finished because "they ran out of parts." Now they are saying I can't do anything about them because I didn't contract to have the fence fixed, the landscape company did. Well you started the job, so a pretty poor excuse for not finishing what you started. I can not recommend anyone using a business that hides behind such lame excuses.

I would like to add to the existing review of Cook Siding and Window, since there was a response; Please note the issues were not dealt with. The question is, did the employee urinate in a bottle and leave it in our recycle bin for us to find? Secondly, did the response cover any of the complaint? It is one thing to "dismiss" something and another to "deny" something. Mr.

Cook dismissed the complaint. I hope everyone paid attention to the position he took when I told him I wanted the job to look like the brochures he gave us. His response? You don't think you get the same burger you see in the commercials, do you? Let that sink in when you consider spending 25,000.00 with this company.

I do not know any of the Cook personnel, but over the last 15 years or so they have installed siding and windows on and in my detached garage, 3 replacement and 1 bay windows in my office and have done an excellent job on each of the 4 times I've contracted with them. The windows are air and weather tight and are real improvements to my home's appearance and well worth the fair price I was charged. The installers were knowledgeable, polite and prompt. I need some storm doors; I think Ill call Cook.
