We used Better Built Construction to replace our roof here in Somerville. The inspection of roof for estimate was very thorough and what was needed was explained in detail that we could understand. The estimate came way below the other 2 we got. We didn't go with them because if price. but the initial inspection. The crew of 5 guys were amazing.
They arrived at 8 and got right to work after setting up. No radios, no one smoking and no breaks till 12 noon. An hour tonthe minute they were back to work. We had an issue with wood roof members and I decided to re apply the entire roof with new wood. We weren't taken advantage of and still came below the other estimates. Clean up at 6 each night WS done in a manner you'd never really know they were there.
When we needed the additional wood it arrived in time for the install. Job supervisor dropped the job twice each day. I would highly recommend Better Built for your home repairs and renovations

We just discovered a huge leak in our kitchen during a remodel as a result of a hack job done fixing step flashing that a previous Home Depot subcontractor didn't install correctly. They left at least two holes in the side of the house and just caulked the layers underneath where other shingles should have been put. When I called, they claimed they new it wasn't right but there was nothing they could do. The Better business bureau will be hearing from us next.

BetterBuilt is our go-to company for everything in the house (except for a plumber whom we know from some time ago). The guys at BetterBuilt are always prompt, with excellent quality service, and rates that do not vary by zip code. Apparently they have an extensive network of subcontractors and, so far, we have had the work done when we needed it done -- no unnecessary delays.

I am very happy and impressed with this company. Not only does my roof look great but this company backs their work. After extreme heavy winds, a few shingles were ripped off. I called this company and immediately they returned my call and sent a couple workers over to repair my roof three years after original install. Thank you Dennis and Angelo at better built construction! :-
