Critical: Responsiveness It appears that Wylie Plastering is no longer in business. The phone number has been disconnected so there is no way to confirm it.

Really shoddy workmanship. Plaster started to peel within two years and they were unwilling to respond

We had our pool resurfaced in July 2016. They had to come out and redo it as it was done incorrectly. It was beautiful for the first week or so each time. Now again the pool surface looks like the color has basically washed away in various places, Almost a tie-dye look. We have tried to contact them numerous times with no luck. It appears they are out of business now but the phone system is still answered and just continues to loop no matter what you select. The physical address looks abandoned. We are very disappointed and would not recommend this company.

When the pool was plastered apparently the plaster had small rusty shavings mixed into the product. After speaking with two other pool companies they concluded that the product was mixed into machinery that was rusty and not maintained. The shavings leached their way to the surface and is staining the pool in multiple areas. On the phone explaining the problem to the salesman Mark said that the 5 year warranty expired.

I informed him that I was within the warranty period After four phone calls the salesman reluctantly came by the house to view the damage where he had no answer other than to say I am out of warranty. I tried to explain that this is a latent problem and he did not offer a suggestion or solution to the problem. You would think that they would offer an option to help resolve the problem. Very disappointed in his attitude towards the problem. Ed K

Over the past 28 years I've had our pool resurfaces twice by them and on both occasions it has been very professional, high quality and very reasonably priced. Their work crews arrive promptly, do an outstanding job resurfacing and clean-up after themselves.

These guys are crooks! Plastered my pool in Austin under sister company "Austin Plastering". They did a horrible job took my $5000 and wouldn't warrant their work. He has since closed Austin Plastering leaving all the pool companies and customers high and dry! Beware!

Terrible customer service and the warranty on their website is not honored. I had my pool replastered by Wylie Plastering with "Sparkle Quartz" in February of 2014. The pool has 30-40 feet, yes FEET of cracks now and has lost ALL of its blue color i.e. severely faded.it's white. This is cut and pasted from their website: Wylie Plastering, LLC warranties its workmanship for 1 year on all plaster jobs.

In addition, Sparkle Quartz, Wet Edge Pebble, StoneScapes Aggregate, Diamond Brite Aggregate, and SunStone Designer Series each come with 5-10 year material warranties that protect against fading and disintegration. Our warranties allow you to rest easy, knowing that your newly remodeled pool is protected for years to come by an established company. "Fading and disintegration", yep, that about sums it up.

The owner said I was "confused" when I read him the warranty off his own website and said he was too busy to come out and look at it and refused to offer any solution, i.e. honor the website warranty and fix the problem. Yes, it has been three years, but that's well within the time frame on the website warranty and a quality plaster job should last a heck of a lot longer than that.

I strongly do not recommend this company. I had them redo the Cool-deck around my pool and have had very poor results. The contractors that they used were nice but apparently either inexperienced or didn't care. The new surface is lifting off the concrete due to the poor prep work. And when contacted several times to come look at the problem, the salesman, Rene, never showed. Very poor customer support when needed! I would give them a zero rating if I could.

The salesman was timely, however what we heard from him was more about what the company would not do than what they would. I pointed out that a few areas of the coping needed to be refastened. He denied that it was necessary, and his company would not do this work anyway. I later found out from one of his subcontractors and a different pool company that I was correct and without the repair, sections of limestone slabs could break loose and actually fall into the pool!

His company would not: Clean and seal the Limestone surfaces or clean and seal the aggregate patio. They would only SELL me a process where a knock down surface was applied over he aggregate. I would have to hire a SECOND sub-contractor to complete the cleaning and sealing process. After receiving his quote, I had several questions and the office worker that transmitted the quote indicated that I would need to contact the salesman on his cell for discussion. 36 hours after leaving a voice message requesting this discussion, no call back occurred.

At this point, his stone cleaning/sealing sub-contractor (a De facto employee) had traveled about 50 miles round trip to give their evaluation and estimate. Without receiving the returned call, I finalized the process with an email to Wylie's office explaining that I have moved my attention to a different pool company. This was several days ago and I have not received any subsequent contacts, apologies or explanations. Wylie Plastering LLC lost a $17,000 contract!

Warning! Alert! I echo the previous review regarding Rodger (the owner) and their workmanship. They plastered my 40,000+ gallon pool with a hydrazzo product and now 3 years later the color is nearly faded. We have called and left messages to his voicemail without any return phone call or explanation - his front desk staff could only say I just work here.

We are now paying out of pocket to replace the entire plaster with a pebble tech as the Wylie plastering job is so rough the kids are hurting themselves when they swim. PLEASE avoid this company as I am not the only customer with the same exact issue to surface with his hydrazzo application. Something is very amiss with Wylie plastering and we are now caught in their down stream mess!

Just finished remodeling our pool. After 4 bids, we contracted with Wylie. Their price was fair, their contract was specific and their craftsmen were first rate. The finished product was on time and under budget.

About a year ago, these folks re-plastered my 10 year old pool. The price was reasonable, and the workmanship seemed fine. I adjusted the chemistry and ignored the pool for the winter season. Upon starting to use the pool this spring, I noticed two large areas of discoloration on the walls, while the rest of the plaster was perfectly fine. After some time of trying to remove these by brushing, I realized that they were not removable.

In addition, other areas of discoloration appeared. So a few months ago I called the company, and started the discussion about this issue. The technical people came out to look at it several times, including one time with the "expert" from the plaster manufacturer. Collectively, they told me that they have no idea what caused this - and I believed them.

At this point the owner of the company got involved, and confirmed that my issue was real and that they will re-plaster my entire pool at no cost to me. This was done today, and the new plaster looks perfectly fine; at no cost to me! This is truly GREAT CUSTOMER service; so I consider these folks to be very honest and professional!

Horrible customer service. I called because they stated, and I quote, "We are a full service swimming pool remodeling company". I asked about doing some coping and stone repair work on my pool. Before I coulod even finish the lady cut me off and stated, "we do not do repairs". Obviously I was wasting here time.
