Ardo Contracting

We use Ardo Contracting for all our home improvements. They designed and built a two story great room and guest room addition along with a beautiful side porch for short escapes to read and relax. Their most recent work included installation of a new front door and storm door. Two doors that are more beautiful and energy efficient than our old ones.

A much smaller job, but so appreciated was a cedar container for our trash and recycle cans. They are no longer an eyesore from the road and there's no need to chase wind blown containers and contents all over the yard. We couldn't be more pleased.

Had someone on site every day, rain or shine over 5 months of work. Addition is magnificient. New Master BR, with ensuite, 2 closets and a laundry room. Great people to work with. always ready to help make our plans happen in spite of any problems encounterd on the way. Highly Recommended AAA+

I know that having an addition added to your home is not an easy project but, working with Ardo made this go as smoothly as absolutely possible. When and if an issue arose they were right on the issue and correcting it right away until I was not only happy but thrilled with the project. I was so happy with the work that I am hoping to start another addition in October 2019 (it was only delayed from an August start date due to the Ellicott City Moratorium.)

Ardo built an screened-in covered patio with lights and fans for us. We did a lot of research into general contractors before deciding on Paul and Ardo. We received several quotes for projects and Ardo's fell in line with everyone else's. Ardo has been in business since 1983 and that longevity was a strong factor in our decision, knowing the company has has a good reputation and stood the test of time to stand behind their work.

We arrived on time every day and stayed on schedule to complete our project. Aside from the one time we requested a change on the fly, they stayed within the scope of the project and there were no hidden surprises or costs. I was able to get in touch with Lisa, the General Manager, quickly to talk about the project and she would answer any questions. The patio looks beautiful and we're glad we got it done!

ARDO has always been my go-to contractor for improvements to my now-20-year-old home. Their interior and exterior work is high quality. I know many of the ARDO craftsmen and trust them with my home renovations.

It was an absolute pleasure working with ARDO. Jerrod and Paul were very professional and thorough. Samantha was always pleasant and helpful and Lisa (the GM) went over and above amazing customer service in a situation that presented some unique "difficulties". Ardo has worked on two medium sized to large projects for me over the past two years. The first was a kitchen remodel including flooring, painting, minor electrical, etc. I was originally attracted to Ardo because they had an architect who drew up the kitchen design. I found his design to be original, functional and attractive. The work went along routinely with most of the work handled by in-house crews.

I went with a second project with Ardo to redo my basement floor and remove mold. I stayed with Ardo principally due to the responsiveness and integrity shown by the owner Paul Arnold. The basement job was primarily done by outside contractors. Paul's oversight was first rate. My only criticism, not enough to dissuade, is the bidding generally is only to one sub. I will definitely use Ardo on future work in my home.

ARDO Contracting is absolutely amazing! After many varied experiences with many contractors over many years, ARDO has raised the bar to exceeding expectations. During last season's wind storm, an enormous old oak tree fell on our house puncturing the roof and and destroying our newly built screened in deck. Paul came out that day, promised to "button up" the roof early the next morning before the predicted rainfall.

And he did! On time, competent, and kind and friendly to boot! What we learned over the extensive repairs was that EVERYONE at ARDO was spectacular. From Lisa, who answered the phone, to every man who showed up ON TIME AND WHEN EXPECTED(!) throughout the job, you couldn't ask for more. Not only did they do an exceptional job, but were generally a delight to have around.

In the process of repairing the house and deck, we asked for additional work: adding insulation to the attic, replacing a water heater, electrical work, etc. Nothing, no job, was too large or too small. All were completed beautifully. There is no doubt that if we ever need ANYTHING, ARDO is the first call we'll make! Amy and Charles M

Coming out of a prolonged really painful experience with a previous contractor, who had done our basement, my husband & I were very hesitant on starting our kitchen remodel. However Lisa Becker from Ardo contracting restored our faith. Thanks to Lisa for all her advise, hand holding, design input & amazing coordination to get our kitchen project completed on time, within budget & with no hitches.

Both her & Ardo Contracting inspired confidence in us after our basement fiasco with our previous contractor. Not to mention that this was a challenging job, as we had ordered the cabinets with the previous contractor, so making adjustments & design changes as well as dealing with an older home was challenging for sure. However Ardo, Lisa, Charlie, Eric & Paul worked with us every step of the way. We recently renovated our kitchen but it was not a simple redo. A bump out with new roof, new kitchen door access to the deck and adding an Island were just a few of the needs. It was a long project from inception to architectural drawings and then the bidding process. From the bidding and every step forward to completion, ARDO was outstanding. First rate material, top flight workers, an outstanding Forman and Paul's dedication to perfection makes this team along with the front office folks and easy contact, an absolute pleasure for your construction and remodeling needs. I would not hesitate to recommend ARDO and in fact, will have the team do a second renovation project in the coming months.

Thanks to ARDO for responding. Your response did not address several issues and incorrect on others. I never asked travel hours to be removed (don't know where that came from!). It shouldn't take "hours" to trace a lead, or for "design" decisions ( total BS), I was TOLD that "Sorry we didn't show - we had an important job we're working on".I could go on but it would take some time. Suffice to say that these attempts to rewrite history don't change facts (sounds familiar).

Came to give an estimate. They said they would get back within the week and never did. Was going to have tile installed. I should have known they didn't want the job when the guy that came out for an estimate never took one measurement. pitiful

Ardo is getting back to my husband & I with ideas for an all weather sun room to attach to my front entrance & side front of our small rancher-We also have a carport that is wood, & is in dire need of a replacement after 50 some yrs.-We wanted Ardo Contractors because they are an honest & talented Company who know how todo top-notch work-We had Paul & his crew install Andersen Windows & doors, throughout our house, about 37 yrs. ago & we've never had one problem with them-We love the design & workmanship & just today my sister-in-law stopped by fron NY & said, "Gorgeous Windows!"Looking forward to working with Paul & the crew-They're like family-

We have contracted with ARDO for a number of jobs. And I know several people who have had major work done by them and they are all very pleased. ARDO rebuilt the whole rear wall of house house after extensive termite damages. They replaced a retaining wall. They rebuilt part of my car port which work I had ordered only because the original work on it, by Ryland, was so poor.

They found a small leak damaging the upstairs ceiling after other companies couldn't find the source of the leak. They replaced a cement porch and added a wooden one elsewhere. I keep using them because the quality of their work is absolutely outstanding and they are great problem solvers. And I know that they are completely honest, not only through my dealings with them but from what others say. It's too bad that the others haven't posted reviews.
