We have been this area's full service pool company since 1983, assisting our clients out of our Clute and Bay City, TX stores. Through the years customers in both areas have come to rely on the expertise, technical knowledge and friendly service at both locations.
Services
Aqua Classic Pools & Spas Inc. was established in 1983 by Charles and Monika Forrest, and has earned over 100 Regional, National and International Design Awards over the years. Operating out of two locations in Clute and Bay City, the Aqua Classic team is dedicated to providing a relaxed and pleasurable pool experience for everyone they serve.
To begin our new construction proposal process we first schedule an appointment for Lynn Forrest, Aqua Classic's President and Designer, to meet with you at your residence. From there he can get some measurements and discuss your lifestyle and vision of the custom pool project. After discussing your options and needs, Lynn will then start on the design of your pool.
In the eyes of our designer a yard like this represents a blank canvas. Many homeowners are curious how the construction process of their pool will affect their homes and lives. Our step-by-step outline will help our customers know what to expect from beginning to completion. The first step in the building process is the designing of your custom Aqua Classic pool.

Don't work with schedules and don't seem to care about service. Leslie's was a better choice and cared more about service and sale.

They are more expensive than most, and not personable. I had them power wash my pool deck. Half way through, the guy ran out of gas for his power washer. So he took off for 45 minutes to "get gas" (in Lake Jackson, would you believe it? Most gas station is within a 10 minute drive. And I know I live 5 minutes from the gas station on Plantation and Dixie.) Then he came back and charged me for the 45 minutes he spent getting gas.

It's like a guy fixing your car at an hourly rate, didn't have the part, ran out to O'Reillys to get the part, and charge you $120 hourly rate for his trip to buy the part. I disputed it, he turned it in anyway, and Aqua went for it. They also quoted me $5000 to resurface the pool, whereas another outfit quoted $2500. Ok, maybe they do quality work (which I doubt), and charge more.

But 200% more? Greed knows no bound. Another time, my filter inner parts were broken. I went to get the part, they claimed the manufacturer had discontinued the filter model, and tried to convince me to put in a brand new filter, @ $1900. I went to the other pool place in Lake Jackson, and they had the part for $150. I told them about the manufacturing discontinuing the part, as I was told, they just laughed and said they didn't know anything about it. Use Aqua Classics if you want, but don't say you weren't warned!

This place is really awesome! Mary Jayne (the manager) has helped me and my husband out with our pool every single time we've came in. It was fixed on our first visit, every time! They don't only care about in ground pool, but above ground as well! Very knowledgeable and helpful! Thank you for saving my "swamp" Mary Jayne!

I am extremely disappointed by the professionalism and quality of their work. Workers came and left without communicating anything and would leave trash in out yard. We had to call in order to get any status or to know when they would be out again. After paying $5.500 for a re-plaster and drain &clean we discovered a leak. I reached out and spoke to Mary and she started we would have to pay $500 just for someone to come out and look!

I also discovered our pool light that was working before was now not working. Spoke with Mary again and in a forceful voice stated it was not caused by anything they did. After much debate we decided the leak had to be fixed and would have to pay them to come out even though we strongly felt it was their fault. Spoke to Mary who seemed very aggravated then told us she had workers who needed to get paid and would not come out until the last payment was received.

I mailed out the last payment on Friday and called back again on Monday to check if they had received our payment. I explained to the lady that we mailed it in on Friday and she then puts me on hold and when she returned she stated the owner threatened to put a lien on our home if the payment was not received. I once again explained that i have already mailed it out and to please have the owner contact me once payment was received.

After waiting 3 days with no phone call i decided to go with another company. Thankfully they were very polite and fixed the leak and replaced the light for the same price Aqua Classic was going to charge us just to come out and look for the leak. I will NEVER recommend Aqua Classic to anyone and i hope this review helps prevent anyone from having to go through this horrible experience like i did.

Shop around for service. Upselling, didn't perform service and still charged a fee despite doing no work. I called Aqua Classics to come out to fix a leak on a DE filter that they had originally installed. The unit is approximately 20 years old. I was told that the service guy could come out the following Monday. I stayed home to meet him and finally called at 3 pm to get an update.

I was told that the work order was on the truck and he should be out. He showed up the next day and tried to contact me a couple of times but I wasn't able to answer. After we connected, he informed me that they stopped working on DE filters 10 years ago and that since my unit was old that I would need to install a new Cartridge filter for $1650. I refused to proceed until I could do some research.

The unit new online is approximately $1000 and is easy to install. I decided to work on the DE filter myself before dropping the cash on a new unit. $5 in parts (new o-rings) and an hour of my time fixed the problem. The salt in the wound though was the $75 fee for coming out to the house a day late and doing nothing but quoting a heavily marked up filter. I got nothing but grief for calling to talk through the issue. I won't be calling them back. There are lots of options in our area.shop around.

The most unprofessional company I have ever encountered. My husband and I called Aqua Classic pools and spas on 6/23/14 and spoke with the manager of the Lake Jackson store. We informed the manager that we wanted Lynn to come out and give us a bid on our swimming pool and also informed the rep that we would be getting other bids as well. We never got a call back.

So we called back today 6/26 and I spoke with the Lake Jackson manager and asked why we haven't heard back from them. She said that she showed our info to Lynn and he said that he could not build us a pool because we were getting 9 other bids and he knew that those other companies would beat him out. I asked how he would know this and she said "because Aqua Classic Pools & Spas are the most expensive company in our area and because they do a very good job".

She said that since their pools start off at $45,000 that she knew we would not be interested. I replied that $45,000 is not expensive whatsoever for a pool that we want and that she should not base doing pools for people off of that. Then she replied that they also have 6 pools on a waiting list and are currently doing 2 pools right. More excuses to justify why they never called us back.

The final straw was saying to me "we also can't do a pool for you because we wouldn't be able to complete it soon". I told her that we didn't want to the pool built until March. If anyone would have called us or better yet, come out and met us (like the other companies have) all of this could have been avoided and I GUARANTEE you that Aqua Classis Pools and Spas would have definitely gotten business from us.

We are about quality, not the price of a pool. Shame on this business. We will be leaving this review on EVERY website that allows reviews. Good day. Stay away from this company.
