Our Ilwaco Plant also provides ready-mix concrete, as well as being the coast's only 'LOCAL' manufacturer of Oregon and Washington state-approved septic tanks and supplies.

A-1 Ready Mix was originally founded in Astoria, Oregon in the 1970's. Kirk Taylor moved here from Washington state in 1997 to acquire A-1. His background in Washington has always been in the construction/concrete industry since high school. In 2007, Kirk purchased the Ilwaco concrete plant that also included pre-cast capabilities.

Would highly recommend this company for Ready Mix. First, they called in advance of the delivery to let us know they were getting ready to mix our load and be on the way. They also asked if we wanted a hot or cold mix, this was great! They arrived on time! The driver, Jamie, was a great help. When we went to pay the bill we were surprised with a cash discount!
We had done a comparable pour the week before with a different company that met the bare minimum of customer service. After using A-1 Ready Mix with excellent product and customer service they will now be the company we always call first!

The lovely lady who answered the phone helped me immensely. After being ripped off by another concrete contractor, she helped me locate a contractor who did excellent precision foundation work for my new home. She also politely expanded my knowledge regarding the various differences in concrete grades/prices and specifications.
