Hello there, my name is J.C. Chapman and if you have a few seconds I would like to share something with you. I am the owner of A Helping Hand Construction. I had him to replaced & added gates to the backyard. I can say that I was really pleased with his attentiveness to what I wanted done. He is not only personable but, he also went out his way to make sure I was satisfied with his work. I would highly recommend him to anyone he needs work done to their home.

JC's meticulous attention to detail is second only to his honesty, integrity, and work ethic. I wouldn't hire anyone else. He's the guy you call to get the job done right the first time or redo a job that was done by a low cost handyman or big-box store installer. I won't make that mistake twice! Check out the vinyl luxury plank he installed in my mud room. He shaved the door jambs, cut every piece to perfection-even around the dryer vent and outlet, and silicone caulked all the molding to make it waterproof. Thanks JC!

We are very pleased with the work that JC did for us. We had tile put in our bathroom, kitchen, and back entryway. He did a beautiful job, I love how it looks. He always let us know in advance when he would be here and he showed up on time. After the project was finished JC made sure the work site was clean. This is a big plus in my book! We will definitely be hiring him again when the next project comes up.

We found ourselves in dire straits after losing my brother-in-law and Father-in- law both within 3 weeks to the day from each other. We had to renovate an old house to Senior friendly standards to move my mom-in law to a safe home from a different State. We contacted JC and he came to give us an estimate. the house was in BAD SHAPE and parts of the foundation were actually not long from collapsing. JC, professionally recognizing what we were facing, said let me go under the house before we talk anymore.
What he discovered and 100 percent accurately advised us on was truly frightening. The house was built in 1940 ish by my Great Grandmother and was my family's home. It was ridiculously, sub standard from the git go and remodeled even worse about 1979. JC gave us the bad news that we were somewhat expecting to here. but it was much worse. JC helped us and gave us hope.after being advised by others to consider demolishing the house I grew up in.
It was THAT bad. JC and his crew worked with us tirelessly, to rebuild my childhood home for my Mother-in law from the ground up for her to live safely in. It was a VERY emotional process for me and JC handled it with the respect my emotions needed AND rebuilt from the ground up an, aesthetically stunningly, beautiful, space. totally safe for my elderly MIL to live in.end result. And saved my childhood home from what was certain doom. I recommend JC and A Helping Hand Construction 100%

I had JC and crew work on both my front and back door that were installed incorrectly. The Front door project went off perfectly, the back door project ended up being far more complicated than expected. He found some unexpected issues, which were explained to me in detail. He made sure I understood every step he was making and why (and I ask a lot of questions), and how it was a benefit or necessary to the success of the project. He and his crew were on time, courteous, friendly and efficient. Even my dog liked them :) I will be using him in the future!

This review is not based on work, just the fact that I had a confirmed appointment with him and he couldn't even take the time to call and tell me he wasn't going to show for the estimate and when I called him he would pick up the phone. Waste of time trying to get him to look at over $10,000.00 worth of renovations I need

My family has hired and consulted with JC and his team on multiple projects, and his expertise is second-to-none. In our first house he helped us out of a crawl space disaster, and in our second house he did work ranging from flood damage repair and replacing walls, to flooring, to shiplap, to major tile projects, and even building structures outdoors around our deck.
I would trust JC with any project great or small. Not only is he knowledgeable, he's extremely ethical and forthcoming about labor and material costs. We've worked with multiple contractors over the years and he is the only person I can say this about. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone. In fact, a close friend of mine just hired him to do a major addition on her home- and I couldn't feel better about making the recommendation.
I feel like whenever you need to have something done on your home you expect the worst, but every time we worked with JC he made projects painless. I could go on forever, but if you want to work with someone you can trust, who is an absolute pleasure to deal with, you've found the right guy.

From the initial contact it was a great experience. I found A Helping Hand Construction on Facebook and sent a message. JC responded immediately and came right over to check out my project. He was very transparent in what to expect. I decided to go ahead and have him do the work and I'm glad I did. He kept me posted on when he was going to be there and did an amazing job on the repairs. I will definitely call them again for my next project.
